Cool. When developing GW2, keep one truism in mind. Outter space and Cadillacs sell video games.

Oh good. Awesome! I just hope what most everyone wants to be wrong is wrong, and that the Chapters keep rolling out like a stone.
So, can I sue the guy for false info on my fav game? And taking your place in telling the world about GW?
Whoo! Any info on the mini in the mags? Will it be REALLY cool? A mini lich perhaps?

Yep. In the beginning was Gwen. And then in Proph something bad happened, and at the end of the betas, Gwen Kicked everyone's ass. Spontanious Combustion FTW!
Here's all about Gwen. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Gwen

Meh, the article from a site with its own slogan "not listening to reader feedback" and button "flame the author" really doesn't provide any information that is worth worrying over.
1. GW1 -> GW2... this has ALWAYS been a goal of ANet (unless they change their minds of course) because in early interviews they said that over the years they wanted to update the GW engine to keep it competative with other games. What is this like? Is it the same game mechanics, is it simply better graphics, are characters transferable, etc- to be honest its not worth worrying about from such a general article. ANet will reveal in due time.
2. Stuff In a New Expasion:
-More skills
-More armor
-New campaign
Woohoo... would this really a surprise =P
3. Playable races... again its not now so why worry?
I almost feel bad for giving that article more credit than I think it was worth with this post... but oh well. Until ANet confirms it is speculation and nothing more.

No more so than a little Elementalist Girl who's heaviest bodyparts are her breat, easily swinging around a massive Fellblade and doing a lot of damage with it... or a 3 foot tall monk girl being able to use a huge twin hammer with easy.
Heck, look at the female Elementalist armor. The little g-string is going to offer extra protection against cold damage how exactly? lol
The game has very very few realistic parts or ideas already. I don't see this being any stranger.

All of the info sounds good to me, i dont want characters to carry over to GW2, i want there to be an entirely new system that doesnt have to worry about accomadating old stuff from the last game. I also wouldnt mind monthly fees assuming the game always being added to more so than the current GW is.

So some of the article is true, some is misleading, and some is downright false.
Looks like The Inquirer lives up to its reputation. And the collective GW community gave them plenty of ad views (read: $$$)...
The article did its job though.

Interesting stuff, hopefully the new races are the part that is misleading, in that you can't PLAY them, but there's gonna be new races you can ally with/kill etc.

I've edited the first post in this thread with Gaile Gray's information she posted. Hopefully that will answer a lot of the community's questions on the articles validity! We'll try as soon as possible when the magazine is released to have a full summary on the piece in PC Gamer or any other magazines so you can watch for those here on GWG too.

From what i read over at TGH you won't be able to port any GW1 char over to GW2 as of new playable races. In essnce it is a fresh start. There is still lots of things that need addressing befroe even the addon comes out on both sides of the fence and bug issues.

Things I think are doubtful/false:
GW2 at ALL
CH4 being an expansion only and needs a previous campaign.
New playable races (especially the strange ones)
150 new skills (too few IMO)
Other thing are not totally off the hook.
40 armor sets
the title and Gwen hint (I just wouldn't get it past the guys at Anet to pull this one. Guild Wars: Eye of the North
Charr butt-kicking: isn't this everyone's dream?

Lol, so true....
This is all so exciting....A lot of people don't like change (especially some being mentioned), but then again many people do and I would not mind a GW2 at all....
Man, can't wait til more comes out.
