On the subject of bringing chars over, as I said ages back you can think of 100 kooky reasons for being alive 100's of years later. As for time travel backwards, then the game currently allows us to do that now.
We can travel back in time and re-live the events of starter missions for example, so there is no reason why this could not be so.
There however a number of technical reasons why this may not be possible. It's been clear for a while that the GW database is limited in what can be changed. E.g there is no Character recovery feature, rollbacks can only be done on a global basis and i'm sure if changing apperance was a simple matter then we would have it by now.
GW2's database would be very very different to GW 1's and at a schema level it might not even be possible to map each field with another.
Besides GW2, is at least 2-3 years away so no need to go worrying about it now. Just enjoy the now, and GW 2 will take care of itself.

Tell ya why: I have KoaBD and I want PKM on at least one character.
I don't have the time/resources for drunkard or sweet tooth (read: I'd rather be playing, and playing well, than drunk or on speed and I'd rather have pretty armor than spend all my money on ale). I don't have an extra few hundred plat for capping or chest opening or gold item buying. Cartographer and Protector (also hard mode, whatever that is) are my best bets for the next titles.
Anyway, sorry for the off-topic.

Well at the time it didn't seem like you just magically missed the big inquirer thread, it seemed more like some moron trying to post the same thread in every section like a spammer. And it does happen.

I have 11 pves, each seperately born from Tyria, Cantha and Elona. After playing them repeatedly it does get boring oh wait it already is. I speak the truth cause a lot of players have said the same thing. No maybe you are just brown nosing to Anet in hopes they would send you a sneak peak, but let's face it if you aren't into an overwhelm of repetition it's because it's boring.
Anet needs to not only come up with a new expanion or some new campaign quick, but atleast an armor storage because if they expect players to experience new armor and weapons then for Dwayna's sakes (now that was nerdy of me. lol) expand the storage and/or make a special inventory for armor cause rich players like me have about 5 to 6 sets of ascended armor on all my pves.
If this GW 2 isn't even going to be apart of the first one where most of us worked very hard developing and would mean of basically starting all over then I won't even buy it. I may be a a Guild Wars lover, but I also have a life.

One more thing:
If we are not able to bring our particular chars over from GW1 to GW2, it would be great to at least let us tie GW2 to our current account. The one thing which I would hate, is to lose the guild.
Some players will not be getting GW2 as soon as others, and basically most of us would abandon GW1 to play the new game for a bit. I'd like to have contact somehow with those still in GW1.
Even if I'm spending 90% of my time in the new game, if a guildie needs help in the old, it would be great to be able to communicate so I could relog and go assist.

Interesting how the transfer thread has moved its discussion into here.
It's not going to be released in a long time, I'd say at least five years, so calm down and chill out. You'll be happy to have a brand-new sequal by then.
On Topic: I am just as excited as the rest of y'all. Tomarrow is the day! (right?) I also hope Hard Mode isn't too disappointing...

Keep grinding the thread people, if you grind enough, you'll eventually level up the thread and there may be info in it! Or not.

Well, SI Radio will be doing a 2 year Birthday party for Guild wars...
I want to see people partying and the 2 yr presents flying (or whatever they do) and everyone jigging along together...
Ok, I now want to know where to hold it and what you want to hear in the show!

You do understand what the wait is right? PC Gamer was shipped on the 15th. PC Gamer has exclusive rights to the content. When people start getting their PC Gamers we will most likely start hearing the news. Then on the 3rd if you aren't a subscriber to PC Gamer, or one of the other mags that are running articles, you can go out and pick up your own copy.

How much do you guys/gals want to bet after the whole PC Gamer releases their information; the other web sites like Gamespot, IGN, and end etc. will give out their information? Way before the other magazines finally release their information. However I can see a negative reaction from Gamespot. The reason for this is because if development companies are not be forth coming with them, they are likely give a poor review of the game.

What I meant was this teasing they did on here a month+ before the magazine is due to come out. I can't wait any more... the suspense is killing me :-p
