I don't know what you guys are thinking, but I think that little Asurian looks awesome. However, I wouldn't want it in my lovely Guild Wars 2. Maybe I have a sense of liking it because I also like some other certain little dudes...

Haha...it's hysterical looking XD
Honestly I don't mind the addition of creatures such as these, as long as our human characters don't suffer for lack of content.

The Asura guy has peach fuzz on his noggin.
It also has huge beefy arms. Reminds me of a 80 year old body builder.

At least have a look around or ask your local newsagent before you go down the doom & gloom path. mkkay?
ps.
I hope you do get screwed roshi, It might lighten you up a bit.

Maybe it's the rabbit from Pre-searing. It got mutated in the searing and found some pants... Now it wishes to take over t3h w0rld. The only way to kill it is with the combined effort of Bruce Lee, Mr. T, Oscar Wilde and Stephen Colbert.

Seriously though, i laugh at those that are complaining of leaving the game. Heck, just leave me your gold, and ectos and ill forgive you. However it is really sad people are going all doom and gloom over something so trivial. It looks mini now but if it is a playable race then it will be taller and thats a fact. I mean they did manage to shrink Kuunavang down..

Yea, that Asura mini does have the same type of style as the Dredge. All in all I rate him a 4/5 because he is quite odd...but not extremely horrible like everyone else seems to think.

And I find it weird that people say it's unrealistic because it looks so cutesy....unrealistic? In a fantasy setting? Impossible!

I'm not too fond of it's looks...It IS a tad cartoony, but then, so are Stone Summit. I probably won't buy the magazine simply because I'd rather use that money to fund character slots rather than an inventory filling Minipet.
That brings me to my first point- It's a minipet. MINIpet. Complain about it being small all you want, but I don't recall Mallyx or Titan minipets being larger than a character.
Secondly, my theory is that GW2 will be a damn sight harder, using our current versions as almost training grounds...If you recall (or check, if you don't already know), the Protector titles now have another bit-"Guardian of -place- when you complete the missions in hard mode"...Since hard mode doesn't seem to exist, my idea is that perhaps this GW2 contains mostly the same continent of Tyria (and the Northlands too, I hope) and harder co-op missions.
As for alternate playing races? I'm up for that assuming that it doesn't suck away the character creation or armour looks and such...And really, REALLY hope it doesn't make something akin to the "combat triangle" effect, I like the way player skill and skill setup matters on Guildwars.
Also, here's hoping for new God areas!
