WHat happens If my ele gets really hungry and eats it?

If that is a playable race, My faith in ANet just got poked with a Nuclear bomb.

I wanna tar and feather it, burn it and sync dance ON it's corpse. GG Lil Thingie that looks like a terd.

I admit I don't want a "cutsey wootsey" playable race in GW2 just as much as the next guy or gal, but we have no idea what ANet has planned, so how about we just chill out? Save your /notsigned macro for when we actually get some info.

Although I don't even care much for mini pets, I will say that the texturing on the model is one of their best, imho. However, I'll be buying the magazine for the ARTICLE. *gasp*
I wouldnt say im on the doomsday wagon so much as the highly creeped out one.

With his small stature, smug grin, big alien black eyes hes.... Creepy.

Gives me the jibblys.... Hibbity jibblys.. Here they come again *shudders*

All he needs is one of those final fantasy tonberry knives and the complete package of horror is complete.

I can see it now. Running by a corner in Guild Wars then "Yub yub" *stab*... *dead*

Wikipedia:

In Hinduism, the Asura (Sanskrit: असुर) are a group of power-seeking deities, sometimes referred to as demons.

In its Buddhist context, the word is sometimes translated "Titan" (suggesting the wars of the Greek gods and Titans), "demigod", or "antigod", none of which is entirely satisfactory. The closest analogy in European traditions may be the Norse jötnar, who range from the semi-divine to the monstrous, are sometimes at war with the gods and sometimes married to them. But the usual translation, "giants", is small improvement on "Titans".

Because of their passions, rebirth as an Asura is considered to be one of the four unhappy births (together with rebirth as an animal, a preta, or a being in Naraka. The state of an Asura reflects the mental state of a human being obsessed with force and violence, always looking for an excuse to get into a fight, angry with everyone and unable to maintain calm or solve problems peacefully.

In terms of power, Asuras rank above humans but below most of the other deities. They live in the area at the foot of Mount Sumeru, at least partially in the sea that surrounds it.

If its head spins around and randomly spouts demonic jargon I might consider getting the magazine. Otherwise, meh.

I wasn't even going toward Night Elves. I was going toward Legolas fanboys (and probably Doby/Stitch fanboys, should such an evil exist). If you thought GW has immature kids before...just wait until you get these "elves," as playable...

The Horde in WoW has never recovered from the addition of Blood Elves...

Well isn't that convenient ....

Yeah sure, that really promotes a good environment between people of different countries.

A.Net you really don't have a clue about what you're doing sometimes, heh?...

" Oh my, look at his happiness when he says he might get rich, ripping off foreign people."

And I ask again: What is south africa doing there? They mention USA and Europe. What is it doing there? I'm European and I don't see my country listed..

Im sure once the Asura opens it's mouth it will have rows and rows of sharp pointy teeth and rip peoples heads off with its oversized forearms. While singing "I Love you.. You love me!".

"Thats no ordinary looking Rabbit" of a mini Pet.
That would be the only redeeming quality for something that ugly. Mini Gwen is cute, mini ghost is cool, this is just plain @#%$ ugly!

Jar Jar Boink, or if you can play soccer with him.

Cutesy? Its about the ugliest thing I've seen in this game. Cartoonish? It looks like something from Area 51

All things considered, especially Inde's post on Asura, I am going to go with: Don't judge a book by its cover. I know far to little to jump to obscene conclusions. Sure its an ugly little bugger, not really cartoonish, but who knows what it might be able to do.

If it turns into a titan... I don't care what it looks like, I want to be a bloody titan!

I think it could be great. These little possessed and demonic creatures that look cute and innocent and then UNLEASH! I want to see what they're like. A recurring theme is that they are violent.

So your philosophy is that if someone, in some particular game, chooses the elf race, is automatically immature?

Or is it a rule for the "good players" to look unappealing ?

I always thought that our own actions define who we are...

It's different then the things we have seen so far, the big eyes make it more on the cute side then other things we have run into. I like it and can't wait to get mine.

Just wondering if this is some kind of April Fool's joke?

April 1st is a Sunday.. the magazine goes on sale in the US in the following week.

It just looks SO un-Guild Wars..

If it isn't a joke, I'll probably get one anyway :-)

BTW.. It kind of reminds me of Max, the hyperactive sabre-toothed rabbit from Sam and Max:

Its a stereotype, like people think W/Mos are newbs, yet i have a W/Mo, im not a noob. I also have a Ranger, Derv, Monk, and Ele. Its just something youve got to ignore, it goes into the same categorie that those people that shout "ROFL GG NEWB" if you made a simple mistake.

You have never played WoW, have you? (Or other game with a significant Elf race, i.e. EQ)

It's a stereotype, yes. But be prepared, because the immature people who roll Elves do come en masse.

Of course, the Asura may be different, because they are ugly (and if Inde's right, that they turn out to be primarily demonic). But we'll see.

I'm refering to the reactive sense, not necessarily proactive. In WoW, most Elves have names resembling some form of "Legolas" "Goku" "Vegeta" "Cloud" or "Sephiroth," or maybe a name with some l33tspeak. 100% of the time I see someone with that type of name, they are either completely disrespectful, or they have no clue how to play their class (I'm not refering to "simple mistakes," I'm referring to not knowing how to do basic functions.)

I personally don't care what people think but what the hell, I like it. I looks indeed really cute, and it might be an official sneak peek towards the new chapter, because where does this little guy actually appear in the current lore? So I might be a new intresting creature which will play a role in the upcomming chapter, I just can't wait to when Anet release more info about the new expansion.
