I really like the skill panel changes, great organization options, but I too would like the old attribute panel back, also, they should really put the numbers to change the attributes on the right side (instead of the left), as the mouse is naturally on the right from scrolling through skills, it's just more room to travel to change attributes.

At the very least they should put the arrows on the attribute panel in the right order. The "increase" arrow should logically be on the right and the "decrease" one on the left. This is the first thing me and 2 of my friends noticed about the new attribute panel.

Maybe if we could hide the skills it would be more useful. For example if i were a Me/E and i could just hide the atributtes i wouldnt use (fire, water, etc) by clicking at the atributte's name
And i find the grid thing very, very, very confusing. Not to mention that my eyes hurt a little by seeing a big contrast

I've always wanted to sort them via Profession/Attribute at the same time... Gets annoying scrolling through 50 secondary profession skills before you come to your own professions. Or through a load of elites you've captured each time you want to find something in between 2 of your primary professions attributes. Necro is the worst. You've gotta scroll through Blood, Curses and Death, before you reach your own (Ranger skills usually). Then you get to the bottom and find out the No Attribute section has moved randomly to the top again without you noticing!
As good as the Skill grids are... i don't think i'll ever use it tbh. Its good been able to actively compare the E-cost/Recharge/Cast times of multiple skills.

Guild Wars looked more professional with the old interface (a button for the remaining attribute points, the attribute buttons being in a position more...native to us humans). Now it looks so much more unprofessional. People who get into the game after this update will have a different opinion on GW's interface. Not good for publicity as far as I know.
Know what else I miss? Weapons saying "Req. # <attribute". Putting the full word instead of the abbreviation "req." makes it seem like they don't know anything about abbreviations and they're being all noobish...

The flipped attribute table makes people read the rows right to left, which is not what Westerners are used to. Since ArenaNet has been good about allowing customization in the past, I really hope it provides the option to flip the table back in a future update.

This is probably the best way to put your skills:
And the attribute set up really is annoying, I don't mind the attributes left over though.
I don't mind the skill bar popping up when I load a template but at least make it so that its outside of the box so when I highlight the title it doesn't get in the way of what I'm trying to read.

I would love to have collapsible skill lines. I've mentioned it randomly, but no one ever picked up on the usefulness of the idea. I really really want to collapse the Hammer Mastery line since I never use it on anyone.
As far as Anet not being able to revert any UI changes, I call bullshit. To my way of thinking, if you put it in there, you can revert it or take it back or however you want to phrase it. I really hope they do that with this ridiculous attribute panel. It's all kinds of wrong.

Mostly the fact that they switched the columns for up and down. i went to add attributes today and there was no bar there and it took me a second to figure out why.
And the pop-up window over the skill templates isn't useful. If i wanted to check the skills i could simply click the template once to see the skill bar appear below the window, and if thats what i wanted then click load. But the pop-up and the display window is excessive.
Theres nothing wrong with being aesthetic. Its just one of those personality traits that people have.

I agree with everything here. All of the changes were exceptional except the attribute panel. What bothers me above the rest is the switching of the up and down arrows. I mistake those constantly now!
As for the pop-up window over the templates, I just read them with the cursor off to the side. That's just a minor annoyance.
Maybe some checkboxes in the options panel is a winning solution?

Honestly, I like the new attribute panel except for two things, and it appears these two things annoy just about everyone:
1) The attribute setup on the left side (ungh, back to the right side, please)
2) The annoying popup skillbar when you are trying to manage saved builds
Everything else is fine, IMO. I like changes, just not annoying changes.
EDIT: Whoa, missed that post by Feathermoore - Agreed completely, and worded better than mine.

Yep, the left side is very confusing. I like what they've tried to achieve generally, but that one change seems needless and is making my aging brain struggle far more than it should, with a simple task.

I love the update. The attribute window, however, is indeed a bit flawed. It's nice, but it's really confusing to have the arrows on the other side than what we're used to (as in, the up arrow is on the left, down arrow on the right). Also, it could be a good idea to move the previewbox when loading templates a bit to the right.
However, listing skills by icons is hot.

Great update apart from...
1. Template: put the pop-up with the skill icons lower so it doesn't overlap the template name.
2. Attributes: Same thing as the templates... No overlapping please

I'm not a fan of the new attribute pane either. Things are in non-intuitive places, the popups obscure things, the entire layout feels poorly designed.

I don't like it, the tool tips block the number of 'Unused points'. But I like to leave the tooltips on because my girlfriend also plays, but she doesn't remember what everything does all the time.
So whenever I'm trying to get the best uses out of all my stats, I have to keep moving the mouse out of the way so the tooltip closes just so I can see how many points I have left, its very annoying. It would work find though is everything was right aligned, with the tooltip showing up outside the skill window.

I hate the new popup in the skill template window. It covers the template names making it difficult to navigate. The same info displays in the bottom of the window, so why does it have to popup too? Or at least why does it popup right over the list?
