Anet does know about it, I don't know why they don't do anything about it. I was in numerous sessions with Gaile in Kamadan and alot of people were complaining about bots in Yolhon Haven and Granite Citadel. And this was about a month ago. So if she can't even notify Anet IN-GAME PROBLEMS, I really don't know what the hell she does for her job.

Plus that song was sooo funny.

Maybe because it is not that big of a problem? In all reality, do these farmers affect how you play the game?

No, but do Bank Robberies down 500 miles away from you affect you? Most likely no, but that doesn't mean it should be allowed. It's against the EULA, therefore they should be punished, and the problem should be secured/fixed.

I'll expose the secret, it not IDS. it stone summit badges. IDS are for real farmers. bots just want crap that sells for 50g each. Afull inventory of crap is usefull when the real person is off watching a movie while his bot farms 24-7.
Stone summit badges are the real prize

Now, if you don't hear about the arrests, does that mean nothing is being done? Crimes do happen, but does that mean the police is never doing their job?

Point is, who gave you the inside information to determine if the developers are doing their job? Do you have the right to judge? The most important thing is that the economy is stable, and ArenaNet is doing a fantastic job of controlling inflation.

I totaly agree, it's even in the 1st few lines before you connect.
They just need some folks to raise hands.
i agree to ban BOT USERS
If you play the game you can try 300 runs a night a bot will do 700.
That means: If you can run bots for all day then come home and play some more pve with other account because you don't wanna screw up your playing account you get cash .
I haven't seen this issue left so careless in any other main stream game. It's sad and maybe it's not true. But there were no attempts to stop this.
And you wonder why your economic system sux.

I don't think theres a online game out there these type people haven't made a script to do any quest they want over and over. Other games they do this in I have seen they run and blink so fast to the next spot you almost can't see them. Every hacker out there will justify using them and eventually they will con others into using them that never would have and eventually this will become conqueronline2 or silkroadonline.

Theres been threads about this for ages, its such an easy problem to stop, but after all this time the only reason i can find for it not being dealt with is that Anet supports botting and ebay gold.

Of course they do. As long as there are mechanics present in the game such as buying the same skill 2, 3, or more times then there will always be a need for ebay gold.

I hope players realize that not all that gold is going for FoW armor, rare-skinned weapons, or titles. The casual player next to you in an outpost wearing the 1.5k Droks could have unlocked most of his skills using ebayed gold.

Well if you go to Great Temple ID1 or Ascalon ID1 you can find all the ebayers, they have to go there to pickup their gold, you will see the occasional wammo shouting "IM HERE TO PICK MY GOLD UP FROM GUILDWARSEBAYCASH4CHEAP.NET", you see a fair amount of people using second accounts to pickup gold aswel to avoid a ban.

And they only close accounts because the owner of the closed account has to buy another.

Wouldn't it be nice if there wasn't a reason for people to be forced into buying gold off ebay? Wait, grind is usually the reason.. but no one wants to remove grind..

Nvm, I love botters.. they make me not have to do the stupid and pointless grinding for gold.
