Lack of manual movement was likely for PvP, to stop things like using pets to block bridges and such.

I like the new pet control. It gives enough to allow the user to keep their pet from messing up aggro, but doesn't allow them to have complete control which would cause some serious balance issues.

Exactly what I would like to see. We can now use controls for our pets similar to the target, defend, and avoid combat controls for heroes, but there is still no attack mode. If I sik my pet on an enemy and that enemy dies, I would like to have my pet target a new enemy on it's own much like heroes and henchmen unless I tell it to go for a specific one or not to be so aggressive (no, "defend me by attacking what is beating on me" targeting does not count).

I have said all along that all I want for pet controls would be basically what we have for heroes: attack, defend, avoid combat, and follow calls (or the target button if you prefer). Well, at least we have three of the four now .

But you have that, Bowman. Select a target yourself (but don't attack or call, just look at it basically) and click "Attack" on the pet screen. Pet runs in and pulls aggro.

I am happy and satisfied with the pet controls, as well as the buff to trapping. My ranger has never ceased to rule, but now he rules more.

hmm this is nice, would like an extra move thingy but I guess this would be exploitable in some ways... But I love the heel command, I can actually take a pet and still PULL mobs down... Finally can leave my pet where it should be, at my side, not doing stupid stuff

So no more happy fun times with beast masters + paragon with anthem of flame, "they're on fire" etc. We're all going to be forced into the jelly mould of nothing but 2 searing flames ele and a spare hero for monking or tanking. Don't dare to think of running anything else, something that's actually fun.

But yeah, the pet controls are nice.

What does Brutal Mauling have to do with Paragons?

Bah @ status bar for pets, this means I can no longer hide dangerous hexes on pets to kill their owners... pity.

Yesterday anthem of flame, crippling anthem, and anthem of guidance affected all allies - which means pets.
Brutal mauling is an attack skill, those chants are triggered by using an attack skill.

Now, those chants no longer affect all allies, only party members - hence does not affect pets.
Coupled with the beastmaster's pet attacks, does not count as an attack skill, and thus does not trigger those chants either.

Means the beastmaster with bear + paragon with chants that buffs attacks, make them deal extra damage / set things burning / crippled / etc. Is utterly and completely killed.

Finally. Who needs tanking warriors (not that you really need them) in PVE when a pet can do it a lot better than them (AL Buffs, Damage Reduction, Damage...).

i think this form of pet control is enough. too complex and it would entail alot of messing about and bugs of its own.

Are these active in pre-searing? Because I didn't see any new controls...

The controls are fine, they didn't want you to have perfect, pin point, control.

Although I noticed that my pet attacked even when I had him on Heel. Might be a bug..

Could you please show me where I "hyped" the pet controls? I did not provide any details. Said pet controls are coming. (They were.) Said "I think it'll be great to have pet controls." (I do.) Said it would be easier to play with a pet. (It is.) Said pets would be more useful. (They are.)

Where's the hype?

I try to keep my posts and my chats reasonable, even if I'm enthusiastic about something. I try very hard to not get into "hype mode." Kindly take the time to show me where I did, so that I can learn and avoid doing that in the future.
