I would rather not get a birthday present at all than get another stupid wortlhess minipet.
actually come to think of it, if it's going to be character specific only then i don't want it. i don't even play my original char anymore, lol.
but the whole aura thing and emote seems like a good idea.

How about a box that randomly gives you stuff? It'll say bday present on it and when you double click you get something random. Either a rare weapon, minipet, 50k gold (+/-), gems/ectos (3-5 at most). As long as it doesn't give garbage like lightbringer scrolls and elixirs as the coffer of whispers does. That's the worst reward ever for grinding to get those gems. I'm going for diversity here. Mini pets aren't really everyone's thing tbh.
What I don't want:
A birthday hat
Special dance

No more mini pets please, can't stand seeing them anymore.
You can get them anywhere, see them anywhere and they are not special anymore.
I'm so sick of seeing them EVERY where. It's time for something new and REALLY special.

if not miniatures (my choice) one or more among these:
- 5 vials of chaos dye for armor: you dye the armor with it and it glows like a chaos axe. chaos dye can't be traded or sold;
- birthday headgear;
- customized weapon with same stats as Forgotten weapons but named <player name>'s <weapon type>;
- birthday dance;
- special emote.
but if it must be a miniature...
Whites:
miniature minotaur
miniature maguuma hunter
miniature gypsy ettin
miniature kurzick juggernaut
miniature blessed griffon
miniature mursaat
miniature heket
miniature ntouka
Purples:
miniature ice golem
miniature ruby djinn
minature eidolon
Gold:
miniature abaddon
miniature gwen
Green:
miniature doppleganger

I really doubt that majority of the GW community wants a new miniature. We'll see after few days if the results of the poll will confirm.

I agree, no mini-gaile thank you very much.
The braindead zombie ***-kissers are annoying enough without A-net encouraging their borderline obsessive behavior.

I can live with minipets on second thought, my oldest character is only 4 months old and if it'd be something that wasn't tradable (let alone something like a permanent aura or burning footsteps) I'd feel pretty screwed. I wouldn't mind something that gives you a couple of thousand towards Drunkard / Sweet Tooth titles though, going for these soon

Please no more minipets.
My oldest character just turned 1 a few days ago.
I shrugged at my Charr Shaman, oh look... another Charr Shaman.
If I'd have gotten a Bone Dragon I'd still have shrugged.
Come up with something I can't buy, something that the old hands in my guild can flash about and make me jealous for. Something that I can stare at enviously, muttering just wait until I get it next year - by which time of course they will all have something else to gloat about being 3...
Just not another mini.

these ideas are good, especially the chaos dye and the weapon with your players name, that would be awesome
I think whatever we get you shouldnt be able to trade

Over a mini, I would prefer something LIKE the divine aura for 2 year characters. Maybe a glowing effect like boss monsters have or a haze like the poison effect.
Guild Wars lacks special effects atm when it comes to character looks... these rewards would be REALLY cool!
Other people have posted cool mini ideas if that is what you insist on though

The ideas are good, but for the custom weapon, allow it to have whatever stats the user wanted, because I wouldnt want a lot of the stats that the Forgotten weapons have. (Sundering FTL)

How about a mini-pet trader so we can offload the ones we don't want easily. I have 6 characters that are going to get a 2 year present and another 2 that are coming up on their one-year presents. That's a lot of pets I have no idea what to do with.
At the very least, some mini-pet storage.

CLOAKS!
But seriously listen me out. Clocks would be awesome, with the ability to wear them over armor. They could be full cloaks or more like a bigger cape like King Adelberns Cape that fully covers a persons shoulders and with some unique designs. They could be used as capes instead and the design could be put on the cloak. And for Variety Clocks could have different trimmings, Colors, Etc.

That chaos dye idea is really ace, I think something like that would go down really well in the GW community. No more Mini-pets please, for playing our characters for 2 years we want something that will do something new not just sit around for other players to oogle at.

Mini pet can be cool but we have alot of them already.
A thing what could be nice, is an item, like the minipet, but it make you taking the appareance of something.
Like the halloween tonic or the Yuletide Tonic. The difference is the birthday present could be use illimited.
It can transform people in... well, it can be like the minipet... in anything you decide to put in the game. I would see a players transformed in Naga controlling his mini Bone dragon.
Actually, if we get another minipet we wont be able to use both of them.
I think the possibility are illimited with this idea.

Disguises.
Permanent items that take up a slot like that of mini-pet,but gives us the ability to look like that of a monster.
That would be great.
