Not without buying them
But if you buy more than one chapter, you can link them (add the key for the other chapters to your account) so your characters can travel between the different maps.
Thus, yes of course your nightfall character can travel to prophecies and get the pets/skills/titles etc. available in prophecies but not in nightfall. Like wolves and bears. You just have to take your Elonian (NF) born character to Tyria (Proph) and charm one.

Me <3 my black moa and siberian tiger. So you plan on playing a ranger? Pity, they own more in Prophecies. But they can still spike certain beings to death in Nightfall.
Also, don't burn money on superior kits. They get less bang for buck. Use collectors items which are still pretty good until you have a great source of income. And last of all DONT be intimidated when all the people are like Want to see or Want to by efor hundreds of k. At first I thought that that was standard and went into a virtual depression. PLay the game well, and the money will come (with some tips and luck).

Actually, you can buy most stuff. Just not pets (and armor). But weapons, shields, wands, staves, runes, and almost anything else such as materials that are not customized for the player can be bought/traded.

Ok got the game about 2hours ago, been playing it since. I choose a Ranger and my name is "Scott Rowan" (couldnt be arsed thinking on a decent one at the moment).
Done the first section about destroying the boats, then I was in the main, I think town part, so I done the mission for the weapons merchant, and the armour, and the material merchants too.
If anyone wants to add me feel free..
Hope I learn this better
