So today i farmed all day Dead sword and ecto.
And what i got is:30 BIrthday cupcakes,3k,and some items white that i sold.
So i was a angry a lot and i decide to send an e-mail about this problem:Loot Scaling.
Before that update in 1 or 2h i always got one Dead Sword and 3-4 other gold items.But from that update Nothing.also in Uw ecto isn't droping.
So here is what i send to Anet Team.They responded but i don't get it.

Here is my e-mail:

First i would like to say hello to Anet team.This Hard Mode is great and i enjoy in it.
But there is a problem.When you started with Hard Mode you have made changes about loot scaling.
First you done this:
# Loot now scales according to party size.
# Repeated map entry no longer reduces loot.

Everybody was sad and didn't like that.
Then you make few more changes:

Adjusted the following items so that they are now exempt from loot scaling:

* Skill Tomes
* Scrolls
* Dye
* Rare materials, such as Ectoplasm
* Gemstones from the Domain of Anguish
* All other rare (gold) items
* All unique (green) items
* Special event items

When we saw this Rare materials and rare items we were happy.But i think that there is a problem about this.
Today i was farming dead sword for 3-4h and only thing that i got droped from Slave Spirits are Birthday cupcake,around 200g,Bones,Some armor and spear or an shield.I know that is very low drop to get Dead Sword but before this update in 1h or 2h i always get 1 Dead Sword and 3-4 Gold shields or staff.But now nothing.
Next,after that i sayed:''Ok no way to get Dead Sword let's go to Uw with my Ritualist.''
Done first run--->No ectos
Done second run--->No ectos
Done third run---->No ectos
(Started to geting tired)Done fuorth run--->No ectos
Then i sayed:''Here is something wrong i will come back later''
After 5-6h i again turned on Gw.
Asked if now anyone wants to go with me to Uw,
and i went with my guild frend in Uw.
Me as Monk and she as Necro.
We done first run--->No ectos
We done second run--->No ectos
Then i sayed to her:''Thx a lot that you helped me but we are not going to get ecto.I am going to write an e-mail to Anet team about this problem''
And now i am writing this e-mail.
Also last night my Guild friends went to Uw(so that is 8 ppl in group) and they didn't get any ecto.
So i think that you didn't made that update about Loot scaling and rare items and materials.
So if we don't have money then how we are going to enjoy in Events,Armors,Weapons,Mini Pets...?
So please Anet team can you do anyhing about this Loot scaling?
Give to us that back mode that we had or make new changes.
I am expecting your answer.

Of course, gold items, tomes, and 100g+ worth items are now more abundant than charr in ascalon. Not only that, but the by design broken double attack speed makes farming in hard mode so easy, it's like taking candy from a baby.

my only fear is that eventually bots will move into those areas, and it'll get fixed. But right now, just about any place in Tyria is a gold mine.

Biggest problem I've had with the new system is I find more QQ threads here than ever before, except for the time that they changed anything else in the game.

I tried farming smites 3 times after they supposedly reverted the loot scalling on ecto's, and no drops so i've given up.

My last run prior to the farming changes got me 7 ecto in 5 runs, so I think there is something wrong.

Soloed Spiritgarden's Repose for over 80 times now over a 2 days span and nothing.... I thought they said green weapons were excluded from the scaling...

I haven't had an issue with gold drops. I would point out I've farmed those slave spirits for hours and I mean literally hours BEFORE the update and still got squat. If you were getting a dead sword every 1-2 hours before I'd just say you were lucky as hell then and now your luck ran out. Gold drops now are ridiculously easy to get in hard mode. Since everything is above level 20 in hardmode, you pretty much only get max golds from them. So just find a spot in hardmode thats relatively easy to farm and have at it. If you don't speak English then visit the support page that is in your language and write an email to them. That way you don't have to worry about grammer and what not.

Well at least we know 1 bot is working fine... the bot that sends the exact same reply back to everyone who sends messages into them with a different name attached.

Anets customer relations is amongst the worst i've ever seen.

its just bad luck for the ecto farming, did two runs last night about this time, 3 ectos dropped. not great but they are dropping.

My guild group did 2 HM runs in UW just recently and noone received an ecto. The only thing we got was alot of dust and a few got a gold from a locked chest. I think we spent atleast 2 hrs before we finally gave up.

yeah I just did 2 runs and got 3 ectos. However, since white and blue items are hit with loot scaling, farming ectos in UW is even more boring now as you only see 1 or max 2 drops per mobs. Even worse when you just kill +10 smites and only 100g drops! At least have HM where you see more yellow stuff drop when killing things. Feel much better

Oh BTW the 1 dead sword every 1 or 2 hours is a bit too insanely luckly.

You shouldnt try any statistics in a period that festival items drop. Just wait for things to return to normal and start jotting the things down. As for getting 100% certain always 1 dead sword; statistics will always proove you wrong. This might have happened in this case, bad luck, but you got to live with it. Many people make claims about the new system, but all claims lack one essential ingredient, statistics.
