Default Most Memorable moment in Guild Wars.

I know there are many threads scattered here and there about the dumbest thing you've done in the game, biggest jerk, etc. And this got me thinking.

What is the most memorable moment everyone's had in Guild Wars?

So I will start this one off.

The Eternal Grove Mission. Keeping the Tree Singers alive, etc.

My husband and I go into this a few nights ago, he's monking and I'm on my necro, mming. And it's about 8.30pm for us, in New Zealand, so there's no one to do the mission with us. So I pipe up, henchies!! We can do this, my minions can be tanks and they won't hurt us.

So in we go, killing the siege turtles as we go along. Did you know they can fall over and they thrash about when knocked over?? (Extremely funny) make it to the cut scene with 10/12 Singers still alive. By now I'm laughing so hard, my cheeks hurt, but we're still going on.

Now we can do this, of course we can, and I vaguely remember the Thomas the Tank Engine theme going off in my head. I ca, I can I think I can, etc. Anyways, back on track.

In come the afflicted mobs, and well my ten minions, including flesh golem, are now gone. And I'm like oh no, we're stuffed. We will have to come back and do this again. One afflicted goes down and I'm like .. well of blood or golem, which one .. And so up goes a well of blood (Yes, I know am Death and Blood is well blood, but 2 health regen helps!)

Anyways we're down to 2 Tree Singers, and I've died once, thankfully my Monk got me up to continue raising minions, and laying down wells. So we run for the tree singers still alive. Defence mode on!! We can do this! And I'm like let me lay a well, it will help, off it goes somewhere no where near us. Damn! Have to wait for one more afflicted to die, hopefully near us. Bang there goes another tree singer, and afflicted. Off goes another well, this one in the right spot, and then the Rit Boss and the last mob left. Both of us in tears of laughter as this is now possible. Run for the ritualist, pinging and targeting him so the henchies attack it. And down he goes, taking me and four henchies with him.

OMG we lost?!?!?

No... the Monk saves the day by ressing me and the rest so we can kill everything else, while he healing seed's the last remaining Tree Singer.

Completed Mission with 1 Tree Singer left. And that was all we cared about.

That was my most memorable mission, and moment in my Guild Wars history.

Hmm.. most memorable event was when my first character, a monk, played the game together with my b/f's ranger and we had gotten to thunderhead.

He, of course, wanted the bonus, so it took a few tries, but we finished it and the group decided to keep going.. I think we started at about 8-9pm and finished at 5am.

I distinctly remember dreaming health bars and being unsure if I was awake or asleep during hells. I had been up since 7am the previous morning, so falling asleep was allowed and we still managed to do it with very little deaths.

Mine ^_^

I got into a really good PUG for FoW. Nice guys, we had two who had to leave halfway through, but anyway...

We were spammed by the Skeleton Ether/Malestorm casters (I dont pay attention to names, bear with me), along with 2 mobs. I was the only monk. Before I start shooting off heals, I spam for BR, and start just using whatever skills I have, wether it be WoH, Heal Party, whatever. The battle lasted around... 20 seconds, Ill guess. No one died, and I felt pretty good about myself ^_^.

Hooray

My most memorable one would have to be the time myself and my guild leader at the time decided to do The Last Day Dawns right from Frontier Gate. We picked up two randoms then went in, one went afk right away so my guild leader N/E, the other one R/Something, and I did the quest by ourselves, finished it too. And I hadn't even done either of the 15 att quests and I didn't have a res in anyway. (yes I was a noob at the time) Call it lucky (I do) but that was the most memorable by far.

Followed pretty closely by the first time I finished THK with a pug. It took, I kid you not, 15 trys before I beat it the first time.

I have two. The first one was getting a gorgeous Storm Bow from a chest in UW, back when I had no idea what UW was or why I was there. (my guild took me)
The second happened very recently. I got two (not one, but TWO) Dead Bows drop for me in presearing. I didn't know you could get them there.

Getting horribly lost in The Wilds I would probably get lost in it again if I go in now, it's been so long.

Just tonight in HA we got a random group going and attempted to play while yelling out "Random Group FTW" before every battle. Surprising the first few times we did ok and managed to get a win.
Of course our luck didn't last long but it was fun. (expect to see more this weekend )

Owning Thirsty River for the first time we tried with ease after having much difficulty with the other Desert quests.

Doing AB for the first time. Nothing more awsome than 12v12 madness.

Making a Elementist runner (E/Mo) and getting him from Ascalon to Yak's Bend.

THK with Guildies.

Huge Assasin sync dances during the Factions pre-release event

Destorying all the Char at the great northern gate with my lvl 20 (we failed mission though :P )

I faced an eoe bomb in tombs that killed our entire team except for our prot monk. Our prot monk takes the ghostly hero, and manages to kill the remaining 4 people and ghost on the enemy team.

My most memorable guild wars moment happened quite early, back in one of the beta weekends (of prophecies). Some might remember: They had just put in the northern shiverpeaks, however, none of the outposts were there yet. All the rage of the weekend was trying to bring your (level 8-10) ascalon character to Lions Arch by running all the way. Filled with stone summit. Without res shrines. Getting warped back to Yak's bend if you died. And to top it of, if someone moved into the entrance to Gates of Kryta, your group booted (happened to two of my groups).

My monk had already progressed from lvl 9 to lvl 11 trying when I assembled the group that finally made it. Running, fighting, dieing. Rebirth proved to be an invaluable skill that night, bringing the party back from near total wipe many times. We were down to 4 by the time we made it to the caves, where we killed the mobs one by one by pulling them towards the 2 friendly trolls you get. In the end we made it to Lions Arch with only 3 people left, took about 4 hours. I still think of that time when I see the "Running to LA, 500g at each stop" spams ...

First ever GvG match when I had no idea how PvP worked.

My guild had 7/8 and wanted another player to make up the numbers. I said I'd come as long as nobody shouted at me for not knowing what I was doing. They told me to roll a pre-made paladin since it was easy to use but they made me take out the healing spells. (But I want my Healing Breeze damnit!)

This was back when taking two bonders got you pretty damn far in GvG and I couldn't understand why I was hardly taking damage. Then the other team realised that we were bonding and managed to get our bonders down to around 30dp each so they were struggling with energy and we forced back into our base.

This was the warriors isle and they had repaired their 'pult and were waiting in the courtyard for one of our players to stray close enough for them to gank. One of out more experienced warriors announces that he is going to run the flag and try and earn us a desperately needed morale boost. So off he charges out the back gate. I don't know why the other team didn't send anyone to stop but they didn't and this proved to be decisive.

Our warrior captured the flag and proceeded to catapult their team who were still stood in the courtyard. One of their monks survived and we ganked him. This was just after 24 minutes or something. So we had a whole 2minutes to take out NPCs.

We took out most archers and footmen and repaired our catapult. They were practically trapped in their base. But they rush out the back gate (without the flag btw) and run towards our base. Instead of chasing them back we charged their remaining NPCs, an archer, two body guards and the guild lord. It turned into a battle of who could kill the NPCs quicker and we had a slight head start. We took down their first body guard no problem, but they managed to take down both ours quicker. Fortunately the remaining body guard decided he would stand next to the guild lord so we whacked out mass AoE spells and took the body guard out and the guild lord to about half hp. We kept at it and eventually my final thrust was charged and I let rip, the guild lord went down and we won the match by a mere fraction.

I was so pumped by this, and this started off my love for PvP. I don't think I've had a rush as big as that since but I'm still playing so maybe someday...

With my warrior I couldn't complete Elona Reach. To me, it was simply impossible, unthinkable. Instead i got a runner. When my necro got there, we did it first time round with bonus and it was a breeze...

The same happened but Vice-Versa at thirsty river. >_<
