Well I was thinking more like a true charm, as in the enemy becomes allied for a specific period of time or until it dies and the spell would end. It could put a status bar like any hex or enchant that would indicate duration of the charm. You wouldn't actually be able to control the units action but it would fight under computer control for your side. The way mesmers are portrayed as half-naked harlots you'd think they'd have this ability from the get go.

We actually have the mechanic in the game already in Charm Animal. I can't imagine it would be a huge stretch to add something similar for mesmers for all enemy types not just potential animal companions.

Actually this got me thinking...why don't assassins have the potential to actually assassinate an NPC? Why couldn't a lead attack at a low percentage (to mobs only) result in an instant kill?

Hey Anets....you want ideas? I got 'em come talk to me

They have to be strong enough to be used, so that puts them above an Elite level. Gaile also said that the skills would be the reason Mesmers would be accepted into PvE PuGs.

As such, here's a sample for each profession what I think the Sunspear skills might be:

Thoughts?
I like 'em. Maybe some need a little balancing, but they are a good start for not necessary but very much helpful.

They are on the right track in that PvE only skills should make the profession does what it does best. Like the mesmer one is perfect IMO, but maybe even add an energy leak element to it.

I believe that is exactly when they will come out.
