Who gives a shit, you have 1000 other skills to choose from. This was just to reward people for obtaining the title.
2. Anti-farm and Hard Mode.
Hard mode IS more rewarding even just it terms of max items being dropped. Maybe you want a free gold everytime you zone?
3. Soul reaping nerf.
People want to revert because it was broken before and made it easy for them. Necros never ran out of energy. I like when they do shit like this, it makes you try hard (SoLS??).
Stop trying to change everything and enjoy what you have. The game only keeps getting better anyway.

or it would have been, were it actually implemented.

Free? Not at all. I'd just like to see some loot after I kill 10+ mobs.

I just wanted to chime in and say that nothing is currently killing Guild Wars. Maybe these things you listed are killing your fun in the game, but they are not killing Guild Wars. Not to say that Guild Wars has no flaws... but there is nothing killing Guild Wars at the moment.
Agreed. Missing Sunspear skills, I probably won't use most of them anyway. SR nerf, honestly, I have hardly any energy problems on my necro, and I don't MM, so all I can say is, stop using build that have 4 or more skills that cost 15 energy. Anti farm & hard mode, let's see, hm, I did some farming in HM for about an hr and got 10 golds, 3 tomes, vanquished 2 zones, all solo. nope don't see a problem with it.
Okay.. stop.. If you're not getting good drops, how about this, MOVE!
Seriously it's that easy, start getting crappy drops, move to a different place. I farm a 'super secret' place that no one can guess, I'm sure ANEt knows about it by now though, but I often get 7-8 golds a run. It takes about 20 minutes. That proves that all you have to do is find a spot that isn't already farmed out!
It's not just solo farming that is producing this issue though. Playing through hard mode with a full party, vanquishing areas, I've been getting ridiculously bad drops (and I'm not even close to the only one). Vanquishing in hard mode for the first weekend was great. By the time the next update for the weekend event came around, something seemed to be amiss and ever since, any party I'm in is lucky if we see more than 5 purples total, let alone any golds.
And, unless Anet changed something with the hard mode update or Gaile has been lying through her teeth this whole time, where other people are farming or playing has absolutely no change on your drop rate as this is an instanced game.

Thats because it's fine now, get used to not playing with an infinite amount of energy like other professions had to. Play mesmer, you'll feel the pain. We have close to no decent energy managment methods.
I would replace no.3 with the mesmer issues, i.e. fixing or enhancing Fast Casting and give mesmers a more advantaged role in PvE.

I hope u don’t mean that if allot of people farm in one area will in decrease drops for everyone…
Because that’s not true, the decrease in drops is based on your own farming behavior, not on how many people that farm that specific area.
For example: if u farm an area more then 25 times, it will decrease the number of gold drops for u. Because out of my own experience I see for my self the number of gold drops decreasing when I’m farming an area multiple times in a row.
The well known spot to farm colossal scimitars is a good example, 70% of all the 55 monks have been there, but the swords still drop, meaning that the number of people in that area haven’t drained all the swords.
Never the less Gale said that the anti farming rule didn’t count in hard mode, witch is obviously not true. Because out of my own experience I see for my self the number of gold drops decreasing with every run I do.
First run 3 golds drop then: 3, 3 , 2, 2, 1, 1, none, 1, none, none, 2, none, 1, well u get it…

I'm fed up with being ignored, and already looking for an alternative game. LOTR looks like crap, so maybe Age of Conan or something. IDK. Anything is better than what Guild Wars has decomposed into.
Bye bye, better luck in your next game finding a team that does more for you than A-net
That WAS the way soul reaping worked pre-nerf. They decided that was too much and cut it down to the current. Unless, of course, the vote was for cutting spirits in half again to one-quarter.
I believe the vote was to completely remove gain from spirits, a strong nerf that I can support. Soul reaping involves ripping fresh souls from the newly dead and harvesting them for energy before they can enter the great beyond. Whoring already existing spirits is the ritualists' job.
Challenge is what makes the game (and most things) fun. I'd prefer to have a necro where I have to manage energy rather than not.
I too used to farm Sorrows Furnance with a 30 minion MM but that's a different type of fun to the current necro.
Like I said, the real issue here is that the timer for soul reaping creates numerous problems for players trying to use soul reaping for energy-management in a variety of PvE settings. The timer itself is inconsistent, and allows the necromancer even LESS control over their e-management than before. They need it to go off after every death, even if it doesn't give the same energy as before. Whether to do that properly they eliminate spirit-gain altogether (most popular move amongst the 3 largest GW communities, but wont be done because Anet = communist), or limited the gain by about 25% of what you'd normally get, it NEEDS to be done. Anyone who plays necromancers as much as I do recognize the issue with SR as it stands.
Whether or not the nerf was needed is still debatable. For them to come along 2 years later, and THEN say it was broken all along, I don't agree with. The SR thing and loot scaling, along with hard-mode and all these other ridiculous, and destructive changes they're making seem to be with some other goal in mind than to simply "balance the game".

1. Don't care, it was just a cop out to avoid fixing balance problems anyways. If they cant fix skills in a way that is fair to both sides of the game then forget it. (For the record, they can't; ie Mesmers).
2. My main problem is not there might be loot scaling (there is) but the duplicitious nature of how they report it to us. No farm code! my ass. It is as dead as a doornail. For three days. After an initial bonanza of gold which would make a conquistador sing.
3. Most people have already adapted, so it's not the energy return which is the problem, but rather the inelegant way in which it is implemented. I am a big fan of consistent lore, and the idea that Grenth is a lazy bones 4 out of 5 seconds is amusing, but ultimately stupid. Decrease the overall return to an acceptable, continual flow and it will all work itself out. But thats too difficult, I guess. Go go Anet. How is your foot feeling these days?

Secret Location Man, they said there was no zone entry penalty. I could look up the post, but I wont, because that would be boring. They have also said that other instances have no effect on your instance, so one thousand bots in parallel shouldnt affect your particular zone. Again, the fact that moving around and being sneaky works means that they have been dishonest with us (Others have suggested this, not just replying to your post). I refuse to be sneaky and rotate! If they say there is no farm code I believe them! I also get no drops.
energy storage is not energy-management, the attribute does nothing to keep it up, you can just cast more spells until it runs out. Then we play the waiting game.
Thats where glyphs attunements and skills like glowing gaze come in.
What was your point?
