We all got so bored we danced.
(The pic has my build on it BTW)
Please AB MORE!
(This is not a rant, but a suggestion.AB is good for testing builds and making PUGS for PvE)

It's because of the servers. ABs only start 30 seconds after a match has ended, and unfortunately, there are alot of ABs going on at the same time. Which is the reason you couldn't AB. Trust me, both Luxons AND Kurzicks have this problem.

Alliance Battles are filled with some of the most miserable and rude Guild Wars players. I'm not ready to be harrassed again.

Odd. I've generally only had good experiences in AB, though I havent played now in a couple months, and also, I tend to play on the international severs. I love AB though. Just wish they would implement a NF version as well.

From what I've heard, there is a wait on the other side too since there are only 5 games going on at a time. Apparently only 5, don't quote me on that.

Better than adding anything to AB they should at least double the amount of games going on, if you're right.

Now that elite mission entry does not require town ownership, AB's have never been so pointless. I'll admit they can be entertaining at times in a lighthearted way, but anet really stuck it to AB'ers by opening up elite mission access without changing the town reward system. I like the idea of elite missions opening up, but what's the point of faction farming endlessly for control of Cavalon/Zu now?

You should take those peoples names out of that picture, but like everyone has said, AB is a fun beginner PVP like random arenas but its appeal doesn't last long and is only good for a night or two a month.

Since when has using an Elite, or not, been required? If the build works (didn't check screen shot, speaking generally here) who cares what skills it has?
Back to the point, I'm more willing to believe the "maximum number of current games" theory. After having both sides standing around going "Damn it <insert other side> join!" with there being a good number of districts and several persons trying to join... it adds up.

Suppose I agree with this. Used to enjoy AB, sure you get plenty of noob builds around, but so what? Was still fun. Course then it ends up taking like 15 minutes to get a match. So I moved back to the battle isles.

For me, Alliance Battles are not just full of "freaking noobs who don't know how to play Guild Wars"* or "some of the most miserable and rude Guild Wars players"**.
*It's like saying Random Arena, Team Arena, and Hero's Ascent are arenas full of the best of the best PvP players... people rage quit on all sides, bring horrible builds, and don't understand how to play in the arena they are in.
**Or it's like saying Random Arena, Team Arena, and Hero's Ascent is full of the most polite and helpful people in Guild Wars... how about the elitism of the rank system in HA? R0? You aren't going to get into an R3 or higher group, yeah, quite helpful indeed. People rage quit in Random Arena ALL THE TIME, worse than Alliance Battles.
Nor do I think "AB is a fun beginner PVP like random arenas but its appeal doesn't last long and is only good for a night or two a month"... right, explain that to the people waiting because of full servers in the Alliance Battle waiting areas, or to my friends I've only made because of Alliance Battles, and who mostly do just that.
Those blanket statements are just wrong and trollish.
I enjoy my Alliance Battles, thank you very much, and I am not a 'freaking noob', nor am I 'miserable and rude'.
And to the OP, sorry about the waiting, it happens, especially during certain times of the day. International supposedly gets faster games, but you should not quote me on that.

I used to play alot AB when Factions just came out (mainly for getting amber/jade)
Reason why I dont play AB:
Waiting time (not enough servers)
So many ppl playing noob builds (check worst build thread in Gladiator's Arena sub forum, mainly come from RA and AB)
Immature people (yeah very nice to hear kurd**ks, suxons every battle)
Not rewarding (getting factions thru AB too slow compared to, say FF)
I hate random pvp (ragequiters, afkers, spies, griefers)

In a bad mood tonight? I said that they were fun, but the long wait for a game makes it loose its appeal really fast. If I have to wait 15+ minutes just for a game that will last 5-10 minutes, something is wrong. So when things are slow elsewhere, play AB is what I was saying.
