I'd be fine with double Lucky points...except that each rank requires atleast 50 thousand freaking points...you need 50000 points just to get to Rank 1!

That's 100 Lockpick saves. For a person with low lockpicking, that's 1000 chests just to get the minimal benefit. I don't think it's possible to open that many chests in a weekend.

If ArenaNet really wanted to do a good weekend, double the lockpick retention rate!
QFT It's just a litte more pointless the the "double drop" events. Give me a "hench get no drops" and I'd be all over that.

So, you would take a 1200 gold lock pick to open an 80g chest? Just for a title? That would make the weekend even more dumb.

Considering that I run a large amount of lockpicks for my title, I'm looking forward to this.

I tallied my drop rate on my first 1,000 HM lockpicks ran - my gold-to-purple ratio was 7 to 3.

Well, if you do NM in low level areas your chance for retaining a lock pick goes up substantially. You should be retain way more than loosing in these areas - granted the rewards are not as good from the chest - but from someone looking to up their lucky title this would be the fastest.

If you are looking to increase treasure hunter - your chance to retain is still higher in NM high end areas - not as fast but you are working on two titles at same time.

If you are looking to work on Vanquishing/Guardian and Lucky and Treasure hunter then your chances go down it costs more takes longer but effectively you work on 4 titles at the same time (wisdom from gold drops) . The extra lucky points won't effect you very much in this case - but you are getting a small bonus to do what you were anyways.

I just feel bad for the players that don't have a single title tier in lucky, or treasure hunter, and expect to open a chest, even in NM, and it will break almost everytime for the first 100 times until they can get atleast one tier in treasure hunter. Once they get that, they will have a 3% chance of retaining the lockpick........

I dunno, I got treasure hunter and lucky titles, but for the people who don't, your gonna be wasting a lot of money this weekend, and I feel bad for you.
