I can only laugh at just what happened there. For a moment in time I actually thought the new sunspear skills and the EotN PvE skill were going to be either the same thing or released at the same time. None which made any particular sense; at least I know it was a bit of confusion. Good to hear though that things are still on track.

I understand what you're asking, I think. Let me see if this helps clarify: Some of the skills in GW:EN will be PvE-only skills. Those skills will not be class specific. But there will be other skills in GW:EN that are specific for each of the professions.

So: All the PvE-only skill are without ties to professions, but all professions also get new skills.

Does that help?

So, nutshell, there will be 50 PvE only skills that are not class specific. The remaining 100 skills will be class specific and divided amongst the classes (average 12.5 skills per class) and will be usable in both PvE and PvP.

This boils down to each profession getting 62.5 skills each for PvE usage, with 50 of those being shared amongst all professions.

Seriously, if they aren't tied to a profession I wonder what they can be. They can't rely on attributes if that is the case. Hmmmmm...could it be a rank of different titles that affects the skill? I remember hearing there will be "race" specific titles given for helping each of the new classes. Maybe these titles are what affects the strength of the skills.

MSecorsky - I think all 10 classes will be getting skills...so that's 10 per class.

It'll be interesting to see how this works - will it be possible to have an entire skillbar of non profession-specific skills?

Keep in mind these are the EotN PvE skills. They haven't really said anything about the SS skills so for all we know they could be profession-specific.

I wanted to let you know that Lead Designer James Phinney confirms that it's a fair bet that the PvE-only Skills will be incorporated into the game by mid-June. I believe that the skills in this batch will be profession-specific, where, as you know, there will be PvE-only skills in GW:EN that will not be tied to any particular profession.

They were meant to be "out in a couple weeks at most", as she said about a month ago IIRC.

I miss The Frog. Anybody else notice he doesn't appear that much anymore, and when he does, he's with Gaile? I miss his independent divination (even if he is possibly controlled by Gaile, it feels like Gaile puts more effort into him).

Just to clarify.

Lightbringer skills are not profession related. The Sunspear skill in existence is not profession related.

So, in mid-June there's going to be a release of skills not related by title, but by profession? And other skills "not tied to any particular profession" such as the assumed Sunspear skills, are going to be released together with GW:EN?

There's still something to be clarified between what's profession-related and title-related, since the original post was to ask about when we’re going to have Sunspear skills.

To put it in simple terms:

- Profession-related skills in mid-June?

- Title-related skills, such as Sunspear, to be released with GW:EN?

Or are we talking about a new formula here where there's no such clear distinction?
