Well I am totally confused
1. If you have he item already why do you need to duplicate it
2. If we could duplicate items wouldn't everyone have done it by now and everyone would have everything already.
3. If we could duplicate items why would we need to duplicate gold
4. Why would only a handful of people know how to duplicate items
5. why would anyone buy or duplicate gold - it makes playing the game seem useless if you already have everything - much more satisfying to earn everything.

Zomgyogi: Sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. I got scammed 120 ecto + 120 shards just when i was planning to make my first fow armor. I left GW for a few weeks, got over it and went to farm for my fow armor again. BTW Got all the screenshots and the scammer is still playing GW.
Flamers: Ye we were too stupid and over confident to believe such scam could not happen. but whats with all the insults? is your arrogance so big that you need to insult the person? Say one of you got scammed in Kamadan, you would not like everyone in local chat to say " HAHAHA STUPID NOOB". So please, the victims dont need your insults. Keep them for the scammers. They are the ones who spoil the game.

Whoa, wait a minute. Did you just admit to getting scammed out of your mats for FoW armor through this very same scam? Was the first set not enough for you, you had to get two? If that's the case you get no sympathy from me and I doubt you'll get any from anyone else here. It was selfish, greedy, and obviously against the rules. Otherwise it wouldn't take so much to get that FoW armor in the first place.
And I'm reluctant to even call you a victim. You and the scammer are both in the wrong, end of. I imagine the "flamers" in this thread are a tad bit more clued in on this or they wouldn't have posted.

Well to be totally honest, I don't believe i get greedy at all, I know what i need, and I'm happy to attain that and that alone, I also know what I want, and I work to get that.
However, not being greedy I refuse to go overboard on attaining those things that I want over what I need
What I need are good weapons with max stats, max armour and well equiped heroes to make interchanging of team makeup possible.
I would like to have the pretty and sexy skins and armours, when I desire one I work for it to gain the cash necessary, however i fulfill the requirements of need first. I do not cry over the fact I can't have everything I want, and neither do I fall for scams, and, as I stated, the honest person dosen't fall for them, because a scam is invariably set up by someone that is setting out to con a person that thinks there is some loophole they can exploit, as we are not meant to cheat or utilise these, then anyone falling for these themselves is not worthy of sympathy.
To be honest here I also think that anyone believing everyone is greedy to some extent has a pretty skewed view of reality,

I just got scammed... Almost everything I had that was worth something is gone. You may say I'm stupid or whatever, but for me this really sux and I am not sure if I will play GW anymore. Some rotten fruits is ruining everything for me. If I had met thet person who scammed me in real, I would have kicked his nuts up his nose. Well now I have complained and I don't find GW fun anymore. On the positive side, now I can go outside and enjoy the summer.

IaBan, i understand ur feeling, i got scammed b4, not a big one, but still hurts, i had same thoughts as you, but after that, have you ever think bout what if u quit, who 'd be laugh? u? or the scammer? and who d be care ? no one right? when something bad happen to u, u just got to face it, and get over it, not to use "quit" to escape from the world man.

Wow. This is an OLD SCHOOL scam. I remember reading about this like 10-12 months ago on these forum (maybe even earlier, I think it was before Factions release). Anyway, I couldn't believe people were stupid enough to fall for it then, I can't believe people are stupid enough to fall for it now.
Seriously, if you are going to even try something like this, you should do it with like a white item or something first just to test it out, rather then trust this random guy you met in town.

I was also scammed by this silly tactic before. Reported all the details and screenshots to Arenet but nothing happened. Well I stopped playing GW for around 1 or 2 weeks to get over it. Darn it was hard to accept that pain.
I really feel sorry to those who are victims of scammers for whatever tactics these filthy players use. You guys should keep posting to inform other players and don't worry about flamers here. They are always ready to "haha idiot you derserve it" to you when you are scammed.

I know that player's do not deserved to get scammed, but I'm sorry if they are stupid enough to fall for the same scam more than once they do deserve it because it's just stupid if you do it over and over and then complain everytime.
Have common sense. And either way what the OP was doing broke the EULA so stop trying to make him feel better.

I think you're missing the point of the people you call flamers, if you INTEND to cheat by going along with a duping-scam it's really hard to feel any sympathy for that person.
However if someone was scammed in a deal or something I would feel sorry for the person.
BIG difference.

that's exactly the point of why we don't feel sympathy for the OP since he lost his stuff while he was trying to cheat. others who are defending the OP don't seem to realize that. I, too, would have felt some pity for this guy if he had gotten scammed in a trade scam or something.

Yup, comparing a trade scam to a dupe scam is like comparing getting burglarized to falling for a Nigerian email scam (We need to gets da millins out of country, we splits it wit ya, u just need to pay da $3000 processin fee).
Both those guys are scum, but only one requires you to stoop to their level to get boned.
On the bright side, it'll only take you another month to make that gold back, and it's not like you paid real money for what you lost.

lol this is the best thread ever now!
You have people who were attemping to use an exploit that would cheat the game, crying about being scammed!
I'm gonna come out and say it! Your an 'Idiot'! If you attempt to cheat the game and get scammed in the process, don't even bother looking for support in the forums. People like me are always ready to point out how retarded these threads are!
Second reason why this thread kicks ass! People flaming other people for pointing out the clear cut abusive nature of getting scammed by trying to exploit the game.
laBan, If you were actually scammed, that means ripped off in some other manner then trying to exploit the game, I'm sorry for your loss. Let me kow if there is anything I can do.
But if like the OP you were attempting to exploit the system and conduct yourself in an illegal (against the game rules) manner, Sorry you deserve it!
