So I go on a 4-day vacation to come back and find this bonus AB weekend in full swing. All my amber is worth nothing now, and all future amber will be worth nothing. I tend to AB a lot because I'm bored with pve, so I feel kinda screwed by this.

Just another example of people's hard work being devalued. I'm tired of it. The rewards for hard work/success in the current GW game are just awful. I was already down to about 2 hours of GW per week, now I'll be playing less than that. I just can't find a reason to play. If I earn something, the value of it will just deflate, making me feel like I'm wasting my time.

My life is great. I only have a couple hours per week to play PC games though and appreciate not wasting my time I guess...

Amber hasnt been worth jack for over 9 months, what are you crying about?

And everyone is more likely to use their faction to buy scrolls so your whining is pointless imo.

Ahh, remember the good old days when amber was 2k.. I farmed enough for black dyed armor for my ritualist, and it was fun farming too compared to other farming ^^

Why are you using Amber as a currency or as a way of money? There are much MUCH better ways to make money in the game besides doing AB and getting Amber and Jade materials. A normal farming run in UW on a good day can net you 25k, Amber can make you like.... a few thousand an hour if your good at it. Not to mention all the buying and selling methods, which can make you hundreds of thousands pretty easy, (just buy and sell higher).

Plus its just the bonus weekend, which means you'll be able to get much more amber faster, perhaps the time spent will actually make you more money, even though the amber's value decreased?

It's not the end of the world dude...really. I wouldn't stop playing this game over something so silly, or a weekend event.

Did you EVER think it was it was a good idea to invest in something that will NEVER spike upwards in terms of value?
As it is an unlimited resource that will never be used beyond Factions Armor?
Were you hoping for a Double the Cost Armor weekend?

Amber had been worth 500- for ages now, surley working for it to sell it is a waste of time anyway O_o.

wasn't the faction weekend event announced more than 4 days ago? so you should have realized that jade and amber prices were going to plummet . ..

why would you invest in jade and amber anyways? only times I ever see people buying it is they're just going for their armor right then. almost no one i know keeps a supply of it on hand.

I sold my amber as soon as i heard this for 280 and it's buy price now = 280

by monday i'll be able to buy back more for the same cash

No this isn't a glote this is saying it's not getting screwed over its playing the "stock-market" and you sell while its (relitivly compared to after) high and buy low

What do you want us to do? March on ANet and tell them to do a roll-back? IMO it's a good thing, makes Kurzick armour that bit more accessible

Here's some suggestions:
1) Find another game to play, since this one is apparently so horrible you can't seem to find any reason to want to play anymore
2) Don't post about it here; there's nothing anybody can do about your earth shattering predicament.
3) Go take a nice, long relaxing bath. If you can get this frustrated over some fake currency in a made up game, your life must be pretty stressful.
