Umm ride the lighting, as far as I can tell it's not used because of what it does, not how well it does it. Its a very high cost shadow step, something that no air ele is going to need, and there are better sin alternatives for melee characters to use.
Therefore I think ride the lighting needs a functionality change, such as a knock down or a condition, for melee characters to start to use it.

Balthazar's Pendulum will never find its way onto my skillbar. That elite is a joke.
Note to ANet: decreasing cast times on bad skills by 1/4 doesn't make me want to use them. It makes me want to laugh at you.
The "mesmer update" is pathetic. So mesmers are more viable in PvE now because one skill is AoE? And one skill is a little faster? Uh, no.

well reason i dont like ride the lightning is if im an ele im squishy, i can pop like a paper bag in a firestorm, i wanna be near my monk, and i think i wanna stay away from most things, especially things like warrs or within easy reach of warrs/mellee class ^^

The mesmer update is mostly from the sunspear skills that are coming. There is a note about it on the second page i believe.
And yea balthazar pendulum isnt elite worthy.

well, it's really a bummer that earth armor skills won't stack any more (if that's the case) but there's still the earth 330hp build although you gotta watch for [skill]Stoneflesh Aura[/skill]'s duration. Also, the aura sometimes just bugs off... it doesn't work. same happens at times with [skill]shielding hands[/skill].

defintly love the update ! thx anet.
mesmers got some nice buff, love it.
and the armor cap and nerf of stone flesh aura will prevent all this e/x farmers.
+ make more challenging pure tanking in some areas or running for some.

IMO this skill balance does nothing to stop any overpowered FoTM build. Where are thoughtful skill balances around PvP? Oh wait, all we care about is buffing mesmers and trash warrior skills when you don't realize the core of the problem.
P.S. Ride the Lightning spike, anyone?

Same way you've always reported people!
Make sure to take screenshots, quit Guild Wars, reformat them so that they'll actually fit in an email, trawl through to the GW support site, dig around for the correct email address, then await a robot response!
It's so easy and intuitive!
Not in the least bit frustrating!

Sweet. My long time favorite skill, Melandru's Resilience, just got buffed. Now I can maintain it at only 9 WS (which is what my W/r uses)
I already dominated with that build....endless hp regeneration vs conditons/hexes? But I was one of a precious few that used this skill, maybe other people will give it a look now.
IMHO, this is a good update. No more mega armor tanks in pve. Now people might actually have to carry attacks on their skill bars.

The updates from a pvp only perspective are welcomed. The recall nerf is amazing, thanks ! That garbage was so annoying. I think that paragons will be much more balanced now, but I will miss defensive anthem in tombs, in gvg it was just annoying and overpowered tho imo, so gg

Just one thing about the local chat spammers; I really hate that people, specially the one insisting with the same stupid trade (aka. you know he/she will NEVER sell the thing in him/her life) thing, and at the same time using caps.
Anyway, I think "suspending" or "banning" that people is maybe too much, because that people must be too youth or something; And I don't like when someone is banned because he is stupid or noob. A better solution could be just MUTE that person automatically for a hour, with a warning message about; Everytime he/she SPAM the same words again and again, adding some "AI" for in case the SPAMMER use: SELLING THIS 1, SELLING THIS 2, SELLING THIS 3 ...
ArenaNet, please use all your creativity in this, I trust you. Maybe you must contact an email company, they are the masters of SPAM filtering. Good luck
(BTW, go to Kamadan Spanish District and take a look at the SPAM, just wow!; I talk about Spanish one because I think is the worst using caps)

my only concern for the armor is this.. i play my tank as a meatshield for the squishies in my party (you know.. mesmers, monks, eles) they do more dmg than tanks.. so i would bring stuff i could successfully hold them off with, while making sure they are blocked.. squishy monk kept me healed.. my armor WY and others would give the squishies extra armor if any got around me..... my poor squishies.. they are all gonna die now...

I hate the defensive anthem nerf, and I hate that rit spikes still will be insane strong. I mean, what is the point? The armor stacking nerf + the defensive nerf will hurt the balanced build that uses duel paragons in HA. While Rit spikes...

Fix the HA or nerf rit spike ffs. What do you need to realize that nobody is playing HA anymore? Can`t us see that HA is more lame the random arena now?
I prefer to play random arena then HA now and I`m rank 11 Hero almost 12 but it is to lame and I don't want to waste my time with HA now.
Hmmm, what build should we play now in HA... something balanced, wit nice pressure?

Thanks for the well explained update Gaile. It's nice to be given some explaination about the changes again.
As for my view, it's difficult to say until i've seen them in action, but thanks for what has been done for the mesmer.

The fast casting buffs are both a big yawn. 3% faster activation? Fast casting isn't even as useful for signets as it is for spells. Fast casting already is a throwaway attribute that only serves to make mesmer spells clumsy to use by non-mesmers. (My N/Me build taking 3 seconds to cast diversion is painful. I should just stick to Signet of Humility.) Fast casting needs a better buff than this, like maybe reduced spell/signet recharge.
As for hero battles, reducing the rate that morale increases isn't going to change much so much as making it even more drawn out and annoying. I think a better change would be to increase the importance of the center shrine to make it worth 3 pips. This would encourage more people to fight over the center shrine, but even if someone wants to dig in and spirit spam or use some other holding tactic, the other team can cap other shrines. This would encourage less running around and more fighting, I would think.

This update will be very disappointing if I can't get at least the same fire rate from my Spiteful Spirit as I get from the 1 SR hit every 5 seconds nerf.
