I think you can buy hero skill points for 1k in the Chantry of Secrets now. So basically if you used your free skills on real skills, you have to buy them like real skills lol. Same difference.

Actually... I like the new skills.
They're not completely overpowered, they seem to fit in with the ethos of each class and... well... they feel 'right', you dig?
Barring, of course, the Dervish one... perma-Avatar, anyone?

Cry of Pain seems very good, note that you don't need to interrupt anything to deal the AoE damage. It's enough if you have hexed the monster beforehand with something like Images of Remorse.

Yeah the mesmer skill seems a little underpowered tho, its a conditional cry of frustration with a little more damage. Doesnt make me want a mesmer in my group yet, maybe quicker recharge would be useful (although care would have to be taken).
Wonder what the lux/kurz skills are.
Edit: After reading Dfrosts post above, I see what you mean, it doesnt require the interuption. Hmm.

ooo, no. Rits have been asking for a skill like the one you described for a while now, I'm glad they've put it into the game.

like pretty much all of them cept necrosis - it just seems like after they impliment a timer that randomly denies you energy return - to then give you a super spam skill - is just like sticking the long finger right up the brown star and twisting. -- at least the ranger skill will rock in my MM build.

Quick comment from James Phinney, the lead designer:
The PvE-only skills are guaranteed to change. Necrosis, for instance, is not going to stay as it is. So, don't get to attached to them just now, and DO share your feedback, please.
Also, Luxon and Kurzick skills are not incompatible -- you can learn both. However, you cannot have both on your bar at the same time.

What? Anet finally does something great... and then decides to go change it? GG anet. Just when I was thrilled with you guys "Oh btw, we made these skills overpowered so we can have fun nerfing them lol". Come on. Just. Come on.
*We like the skills! Please just keep them! Or buff the mesmer one a bit!*

All of the skills are fantastic.
I really like the Ritualist skill as this solves some problems with Blood Song being in channeling even though its damage output not as strong as Blood Song.
I was rather disappointed with the Warrior skill. I was hoping for something that boosted armor. Instead I got something that can be used with any melee weapon and not with Spears or Bows. I'm sure my Assassin will like the new warrior skill.
