Thumbs down Caught a Scamming Droks Runner *w/proof*

Someone drops out so they then demand everyone else pays more after, after ,we have all paid; obviously knew we'd not stand for getting pushed about like gimps. 99% of runners simply get peeved when someone drops out, they do not take payment then demand more money or they quit.

Out of the literally countless runners I've had over the years from mr random wammo to those 'lady blue steel' world tour types, never been scammed, so when it happens I think it's only right to give everyone a heads up on the very few that are not trustworthy.

This scammer also mocked the ability to report scammers, I've never been scammed, never had to report a scammer, I'd like to know does it work or is it futile?

gg all.

Not allowed to post screenies of people, or post their names.

...But hey, ANet doesn't take any action against this shit, so what else can we do?

There's nothing ANet can really do about it. The player didn't break any rules, so they can't be punished for this. You made an agreement with another player, you gave them your money, and they decided to be a jerk about it. Yeah, it sucks when it happens to you, but there's really nothing that can be done about it.

If you really want to do something about it, then you should go back to the district he's trying to run people in, and warn other players there that he can't be trusted. At least then you can screw him out of getting anymore business.

Why? I don't know, why should police arrest people who rob a bank? What can they do? They can ban people, just check the other threads here..people get banned all the time.

You guys are wrong.

Take the time to report the inccident. They provide an attachment section to add your screenshots.

Give them relevent information. Important ones, are the time of day and what district and server it happened on.

This is a good example of griefing other players. This is a reason for a ban. Now it's up to you to do your part. If you're not willing to take the time to report (it's a pain in the ass), don't complain about getting ripped off on a public forum.

Good luck!

We don't allow posting of names here. I've removed all your references to their in-game name here. Its nice to try and warn people, but its forum rules.

You can repost the screenshots if you edit out his name.

Do people do like a pay-as-you-go kind of thing to keep both players honest? Can you trade part-way through a mission so that you give the runner more gold as they get closer to the end?

thanks all, have submitted everything I can Via GWs support.

'tis a pity we can't name names when we have screenies to back it up, oh well, I guess scamming is a safe occupation.

Runners unite and organize a blacklist w/ screnshot evidence!! I don't know what happens if you report a scammer but I noticed this one scammer had to buy a second account because I ignored him and then a while later I saw him using a similar name shouting stuff. I hope Anet cares enough to ban someone after getting enough support tickets about that character scamming.
Scamming runners is almost exactly like riding a taxi then not paying when you get there. Except in real life the cabbie would beat that biznatch.

Its too bad the in game ignore list cannot be expanded. That or a secondary tab to Friends that we could call [fill in the blank] and place these people there. Gaile has said its not possible under the current framework to expand ignore, much less add another list. I have no idea how that can be the case, but it is.
