I am putting money on broken skills galore in GW:EN for PvP that will be abused for some time before they are properly fixed. Whos in?

sorry, but the other guy/girl was right. sins and rits were perfectly fine before NF.. and oh, thats right, so was GUILD WARS. NF destroyed basically every classes balance, not just sins and rits. steady stance? reapers mark? sf? hex eater vortex (not as bad), and the list goes on. it could have all been fixed but it wasnt.. and thats what bothered i think.. all of us lol...


and to the other part dreamwind, every game has skills (mmo, fighting games, realtime strategies) that, when initially designed, are used for different uses and in an unanticipated manor, broken. its not the game devolpers faults that some noob found a loop hole in.. idk.. deadly haste and half ranged moves like ice spear before deadly only affected SIN moves. due to its placement in critical strikes. little things like THAT mess the games balance up. true, the nature of some skills will also throw off balance, like hyper-hexes from the necro side of things, and little hex removal for the entire game, but thats not the INITIAL design....


unfortunately anet seemingly stopped caring that no one fix em'... so uh.. yay? :P

PvP is essentially just a set amount of people in a map, with differing skills. There is not alot you can change about it, you get new skills maybe some new maps and maybe another pvp kind of like what happened with Hero Battles.

SF would have gotten a nerf anyway seeing as how all the commonly used skills in PvP other than most monks skills get nerfed (ie. SF, Sandstorm, diversion, blackout, drain enchant, reapers mark, AoE, zealot's fire, enraging charge, shadow prison, gaze from beyond, Ritual Lord, natural stride, avatar of grenth, "incoming", to name a few.) Remember the time when Anet nerfed AoE damage in PvE? I remember a lot of "oh thanks Anet for making my profession useless in PvE now." Both sides "whine" about stuff that changes there playing style. Blaiming PvPer's for the nerf of SF is unjust.

It seems like all the PvEr's forget the game was made for PvP not PvE in the first place. Don't whine yourself, you already have a lot more than originally planned.

As for the OP, I really hope they have some new maps for PvP, maybe one that is completely underground, that would be pretty cool. But as far as it seems new skills and new heroes are all that are going to be added.

Hmm...I guess I was playing a completely different game than you guys then? I remember rit lords and aod assassins being abused on so many levels it was ridiculous. Lets not forget Jade Isle...that also counts as a nice factions addition.

I agree that NF screwed up the game, but you can't sit here and tell me that any real PvP player liked factions much either.

Thats fine if players discover things that the devs didn't notice, but I don't want to sit and wait months for them to fix the problem. That is the typical Anet problem. Hell...just look at the current state of HvH, HA, and GvG to some extent and tell me I'm wrong.

I liked factions, and personally I would rather run into Rit Lords and AoD assassins than BoA/SP and rit spike groups.
