Im not trying to convince you of anything but that your argument has no legs to stand on. What little data you have, I also have no quarrel with. I know things drop more frequently in newby land, it's not the point. Saying loot scaling has been removed based on very limited anecdotal evidence is ridiculous. Sure, call em up... it's about the only way you'll ever know. If they tell you anything that is, and they won't.
I do however thank you for the humorous irony of your inferring I am ignorant given the conversation. Thanks for the other thread but it also doesn't prove or even support that loot scaling has been 'removed'. Yup, I believe it may or may not be active in newby lands in normal but again, neither one of us knows the code (and I at least recognize this).

Oh by the way. I used to kill Mantid before they introduced Loot Scaling. Back then, the Mantid almost always dropped something. Occasionally one might not drop anything, but that was rare. Might not be in a neat little chart like you'd like, but it was done before Loot Scaling. If you don't trust my memory, then too bad for you, I happen to have a very good memory. Otherwise, as they say; ignorance is bliss.
P.S. Look at this thread. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10171465

Mind if i point out this has gone way off topic
Reminder of topic : Dragon Fest 07
I'm so happy to have a festival this year as i have only been playing 7months and missed last years
I also can't stand the whiners
If you've said anything about "just another AFK weekend" you need to try and wiki it after it starts as only 2 of the things in the whole festival are best played AFK
Thanks you Anet means alot to get the events and new contents

I'm with everyone else....who's normal...
Have no gold because of Loot Scaling, but can't wait for Festival...
Don't know how to take the 250 victory tokens for a hat thing.... Hopefully tokens drop like the Jade wind orbs did. Otherwise, I have to do some PVP, but I get to stressed out about playing with others.

Personally, I don't care too much since I'll be spending most of the weekend doing stuff. First I have to go to a wake for a relative, then I have to go to my father's wedding (that's right, I said father's).

Bottom line is most ppl I know never bought gold online, bu now since loot scalling I know lots of people who have had to do it to get the stuff they previously just farmed for. The new Loot scaling deal is a bust it didn't work and it will not work (unless they also make materials cheap and no armor not cost over 1k a piece) OR THEY COULD JUST GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAAS WHICH WAS FINE!!!!

First of all, it's better now since bot gold farmers are so inefficient that they've had to cut back. As well, its brought the price of many things down a good amount.
Unless these people are continuously buying 15k armour and Crytaline swords, they shouldn't be having trouble with money. Sounds to me more like they don't want to work for their stuff, which is probably the most common reason for people buying gold.
I myself, have had very little trouble with money. I bought some 15k armour and even created and paid for a new character since Loot scaling was implemented. Hard Mode wasn't implemented just for challenge, it has some nice loot that you can farm.

Blast - I came here to mock the inevitable whining and then spotted that. I really hope you're right - I detest PvP (even novelty PvP) and the boardwalk "games", so I really hope the victory tokens have replaced orbs and are handed out as quest rewards, else I won't be getting the hat.
Still looking forward to it, though.

Damn, and I am going to be away on business all weekend. Being grown up sucks. Why couldn't they have had this on the 4th? I played for a good 6 hours yesterday because of the day off.

A week would have been good. I couldn't play yesterday, as I was away with family the whole day.

Sorry but you're wrong. The rollbacks were caused by a bug that allowed a player to interact in a certain way with a particular npc and cause error 7 for a given district. The bug was fixed and the way servers update data was changed to make sure that no more than 5 minutes would be lost in the event of an error 7 while afking on rings.

I have several Prophecies and Nightfall characters and would like to have one or more of them participate in the Dragon Festival. Is there some way to get them to Shing Jea? I have all three campaigns on the account and can get them over to Cantha, just don't know how to get onto the island with them.
