very odd.

you might try using the provide update this ticket link and ask politely if there is some additional information you can provide that might help them resolve this.

1. if you get back a ticket closed message send a new one including the closure email and go from there.

2. if still open they should at least respond to a polite nudge.

either way i dont see how you can lose.

beyond this i have no ideas

Have sent plenty of emails, and they just totally ignore it and don't reply.

Removed ticket info, had left identifiable information in it

Or even better, a receipt of a video game that you bought 2 years ago....

It was a receipt.... receipts are important, for taxes, your own personal records, THINGS LIKE THIS!

i agree with the OP on this one. there is no reason to have a separate user name and password to change your password... sure have a separate account for adding a trouble ticket but to tie this to you play account and make it the only way to change your password is just silly.

Yes, but for taxes, that would have been 2 years ago. For my own personal records, I usually get rid of stuff older than a year (unless it is something big) I did keep my keys because it told me to, and they are in my boxes. I also kept of the magazines I got a mini pet from, the other one is missing, I tore out the page with the key on it and I think I threw that out. Luckily I also put in GW into Quicken so I can look into that and find out when I bought it and made the account. Other people would not be so lucky.

i just read my little sheets of paper and it says very clearly to keep in safe place as you will need it to get support help as your proof of ownership.

yes they made it very clear on the key itself.

dont throw this out.

how could they make it more clear than you will need it later?

I've just checked this with a friends keys, he's a hoarder who keeps everything.

Nowhere on the slips does it say to keep them.

Emphasis mine but it's all right there, surrounded by the perforations used to open it up.

It's on mine too, which is why I kept all of them.

WRONG

before you tear off the edges there is printing stating this is the access key.

below *access key card* it says the following

*
Quote:
DO NOT THROW THIS CARD AWAY! YOUR ACCESS KEY IS PROOF OF OWNERSHIP, AND YOU WILL NEED IT TO OBTAIN CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR PROVE THAT YOU OWN YOUR ACCOUNT
*

is that clear enough? i keep them as well

lol, PlayNC just replied and told me to send a scanned or electronic image of my keys from the boxes - within the next 72 hours.

Looks like I'll have to finally install the damn scanner my wife's been pestering me about.

Thank you for calling me a liar. I can confirm that the access keys that I checked do not have this.

Example - I have his nightfall card and the slip that came with it in front of me. On the card itself it says 'Game Activation Card' and 'Guildwars Nightfall' on the front, and the key and what I can only assume are tracking numbers on the back.

The slip of paper that it was attached to says absolutely nothing about saving the card on the front or on the back, the back tells you how to add to existing accounts and making new accounts, the front tells you that you should create a new/upgraded account.

Front of Card
Rear of Card
Front of Slip
Rear of Slip

I'm still waiting on further response from support, they are effectively refusing to allow me to change my password despite having verified email addresses on the plaync account and all the other information provided to them.
