Not one game in the world rivals GW on how many hot chick characters can be created from each and every profession. And kudos to the armor designers as well for their excellent work on making sure that the female characters are worth playing for 2000 hours, with little chance of getting boring to look at.

I'm so looking forward to having Jora in my party! Move over Koss. This new hottie's got the job.

Oh and for Factions expansion(2008), I'd like to see a Female Ele hero and something skimpy for Acolyte Jin to wear. My wishlist is endless on this subject.

[[email protected] Knez: Pure speculation on my part. Wishful thinking is good for the soul. If you look at all 3 continent maps, there's room for expansions. If you think that GW1 ends at GW:EN, I beg to differ. It's gonna be IMPOSSIBLE to retain player base beyond mid-2008 with only 1 expansion unless GW2 is ready to ship in 4th quarter of that year, which I highly doubt, considering how much they got on the table for that game. So I speculate that Cantha and Elona will no doubt each have a new story of their own. Ask me the same question in March, 2008. ]

MORE FACES pls. Nightfall was a wee bit dissapointing in the Female Face department for almost all professions. I could send some suggestions. I hate that only 10% of faces are worth going out in towns with.
Are you joking? Koss and Master of Whispers both have the rugged cowboy look, with Sousuke as the effiminate of the group.

And before someone gets the wrong idea, yes I am kidding.

If you watch the Factions Cinematic you can also see that they look exactly alike.

The image I posted earlier has Vizu standing in front of the Temple (why would it be Nika? Nika wasn't there when this happened.)

Seeing as how that image (of Vizu) was used on the cover of the box, it has to be Vizu, there's no doubt about it

The only one of you with a decent arguement is Nuclfus (Whom I can't think of a reply back to XD)
It was Nika who killed Shio in the cinematic but in the storeyline it was Vizu along with the help of those 2 others.Or she helped them.

Considering that's one of the wallpapers showing Vizu by the temple, this image clearly presents a problem as it depicts the female with the jade mines. It's also interesting to point out that the in-game character of Vizu also clearly is not on the cover, while she is shown being very different(exactly like Nika) in the cinematic and with the miniature.

I believe we may have a contradiction on Anet's part on this one.

The acronym GWEN for GW: EotN is of mere coincidence. Putting Gwen on the cover of EotN is like putting a spoiler on the cover of a movie.

lol, why would it be Nika in the video? the video is representing the events that took place when Vizu and the Luxon/Kurzick leaders killed Shiro, why would Nika be in the video?
That logic makes no sense >.<

And mehh, idk which one is in the image at the jade mines, but that has nothing to do with whether or not she's on the cover, lol

Like I said, the 2 look exactly alike when they're alive, maybe her ghostly self got a new hairdo

Jora......

she uh.....
she uh.....
.
.
.
she looka lika man......

And yes the assumption is that Vizu and Nika are virtual twins. Vizu injured Shiro and allowed the Luxon and Kurzick champions to strike him down. Vizu and Nika's armours are the same and the only difference appears to be the hairstyle where Nika has great looking full bodied flowing pink kangaroo hair, while Vizu....... has a vader helmet.

Vizu / Nika problem is VERY VERY VERY simple. (note my sarcasm)

In the original magazine concept preview of factions, the main character protagonist was named Nika.

The Factions artwork on the box, wallpapers, etc. depicted a purple haired assasin. This same purple haired assasin is used in the Factions cinematic trailer.

We later find out that the cinema depicts Vizu.

This does not mean that the box artwork is Vizu.

Because....

In the preview of factions NIKA looked EXACTLY like Vizu does now.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/images/archi...729%21Nika.jpg <--This is the OLD version of NIKA.

Now....look at VIZU.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/images/9/95/Vizu.jpg
Vizu's Ghost matches the older version of Nika.

NOW.....This is the NEW NIKA.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/images/thumb...253px-Nika.jpg
This NEW version of Nika matches the CINEMATIC version of Vizu and the artwork of the purple haired assassin.

Anet continues to confuse us by releasing MINIATURE VIZU.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Image:MiniVizu.JPG
Which looks EXACTLY like the NEW NIKA.

SO...whats the tally:

Vizu has 3 versions so far.
Cinema Vizu, which looks exactly like Nika.
In Game Vizu, which USED to look exactly like Nika
Miniature Vizu which looks exactly like Nika does now.

So whos on the Cover of factions?

Nika or Vizu?

The answer? It could be either or, since they use the same exact model.

Ehh, this last one is even worse. That rendition lost all the character. Maybe its the now shiny, tinny looking gold armor - it lost the weathered quality that I suppose could be redeemed with dye. Maybe its the lack of wildness in the hair modeling. Despite keeping the locks it doesnt flow and we cant see the really long ponytail - maybe it is still there. The torso armor and tatoo area is designed less well. The model just looks really generic now. While I still like the artwork in the first the best (yes, thank you to whoever posted about Frank Frazetta - that was exactly who I was thinking of when I said "painterly" and classically fantasy), they should have used the third rendition as the actual character model as close as possible. I suppose they tried, but much was lost in translation. Much.

agree completely...here's hoping those 3d renders are early renders before they refined the concept art to the good looking version.

Someone referred to the first three as being the progression of beer goggles....well that last one must be a few hours after...when your buzz is wearing off. Not as bad as the first two...but not as good as the third.

I would have to come to the conclusion seeing as how that is Nika is the hero of Factions it is her on the cover not Vizu. When it came tefend the empororer from Shiro it was Nika that rushed in there to do it at the Harvest Temple although as shown to us it was Togo.

The cinematic shows Vizu, not Nika, seeing as the Jade Sea was still actually a sea and not yet a vast quarry, and Echovald was still alive. Not to mention that Viktor and Archemorus are in the video.

It could be either Vizu or Nika, with the inconsistencies of their appearances. The same thing can be observed with Emperors Angsiyan and Kisu, with Angsiyan originally having a beard, but now appearing exactly as Kisu in the flashback in-game.

Original jora wins, too many female sex symbol stereotypes.
Seriously looking into history, no female warrior looks like the final high polygon one with slim waist and barely any muscles.

The characters seem developed enough so that they are not just eye candy but a pretty face sells the game better than a wammo's bare chest to the majority of the game's audiance I guess (I would rather see the environments to either of those options thou! It's the main reason I play the game for the interesting terrains and monsters)
