I remember it taking nearly a month for me to get to level 20 (or 2 weeks of nonstop playing), and there was so much teamwork and fun (even though it was a bit tedious, people worked it together). It seems like modern GW just doesn't capture the essence of the fun I had in prophecies, although it looks like NF is better.

Maybe GW2 will be cool, who knows.
It will never be as good as prophecies. People had to work together to beat the missions most of the time because everyone was a noob. GW in it's current state, any decent player just plays through with heroes, which means 9/10 pugs will be complete morons who can't manage to finish the mission with heroes. That, and soooo many people are into getting titles, so they go in alone so that they can run around and scrap the edges of the map to get that 100% explored title (YAY). Guild Wars has just went to hell. The only people you ever see in towns now are bots, traders, or frenzy+heal sig users that have no clue how to play the game. Granted, I don't mind playing with new players that will listen, but it seems that all the retarded people now are cocky. Won't listen to how to do the mission, over aggro, and insist that because 3 warriors have monk secondaries that we don't need an actual monk.

I agree with this statement. Its about at the time that anet asked me to grind its silly "Friend of the Luxons" title track just to get skills to work... that I decided "to hell with this," and joined a korean supergrindfest... if the game is gonna be about grind... might as well have fun instead of doing something I hate.

Expertise used to effect ALL non-spell skills. This means stances from other classes, general skills, Shouts, Ect.

Actually, I've been playing a ranger since the WPE, however I did miss that update and since I very rarely use outside skills that would be possibly effected by expertise, i completely missed that little update. Not a huge deal IMO however, I wouldn't exactly call it a bad change.

Granted, there are a lot of bots in a few areas, unfortunately though, not all of them are actually bots so they can't simply take a big net and just toss them all out, they have to be careful or they get people coming on here claiming that they were unjustly banned from the game for botting when they've never done it in their entire lives. I think what ANet should do, and I'll admit it's incredibly harsh, is leave the bots alone, but instead watch for their customers and punish them instead. When people start getting the message that both sides of the equation are violations, maybe they'll think twice, no customers, no bots.

Tomes are awesome cause you can sell them for 10k. Thats how I make my money's.

Once and while I want one one cause some skills are just a pain in the ass to cap, but easier to unlock at the priest.
