I know what I'm talking about, but do you?? Why discrimminate certain types of builds because they are 'easy' or 'cooky cutter'? In most role playing games these builds are highly appreciated so the weaker magic casting chr's can stay on the background. Or to lure away a mob so the thief can do his job.
Again, those builds are the core of games like this. Why do players in this forum show so much frustration, so much hatred when these builds are successful? Should we all walk hand in hand than and use subtle little skills in the right order just because some people want this to be a cozy community game? Oh-Come-On!! There is something terribly wrong when a mesmer party can survive without some decent warriors. Stop mocking about other players builds!

kk Going into a battle with a build just to counter rtpsike because it's so overpowered then going up against another team=gg. This was not how the game was supposed to be played. This build is soooo overpowered because even on a ranger with a lightning shield it will take you dow with the first 3/4 sec. cast spike. Then everyone has healing so they stay up forever. You can't interrupt the spike. You can't dodge the spike. It rips right through anyone. Everyone has healing. You're just a retarded creature.

From all I can see these pve nublets are trying to say "WE SHOULD ALL RUN ROCK PAPER SCISSORS TO COUNTER THE BUILD THAT WE TEH HATZ0RS". Then they come up against another build and they get rolled. THIS IS NOT HOw GW SHOULD BE PLAYED. It should not be my build counters your build it should be we're playing different builds but my skill over comes your skill. Currently rtspike cannot be beaten by skill.

except in those situations its usually outside factors like connection speed that decide the fate.... this game is all about builds and coordination and connection. thats all it will ever be about with how it is set up. but that can be player skill. being coordinated is a skill. making a good build that can be prepared is a skill. connection is.... well... the downfall of online games.... but that's a whole other story. honestly nothing in this game really takes any skill outside of making a build and being coordinated. see, basically one person is rather talented, and comes up with a build that can take on pretty much anything pretty well. then others copy him, and it gets nerfed. essentially, making ingenuity wasted effort. so that leaves coordination and connection speed, the former of which relies heavily on the latter. keep pvp contained within sealed play lan tournaments imo, thats the only time its ever balanced or fair in any way.
