Hello all,

First off I apologize if this is in the wrong area. If it is please move it. Anyway i've been LB/SS farming a lot out of "Remains of Sahlahja" lately in hard mode. When I first started doing this I used to get, or at least see somebody else get a tome every other run. "Meaning not every run, but 1 or 2 in a larger amount of runs".

For about 2 weeks or more I have not seen 1 single tome drop. I even stocked up on lockpicks and used those during the run and still nothing. Now over the course of these past 2 or so weeks i've spent at least 2 - 5 hours a day doing these runs. Usualy depends on how I feel after work, and if I got other stuff I want to do in the game.

Anyway to get down to it, has anybody else noticed this? Or am I just unlucky? I was thinking maybe they might of reduced the drop rate or something. I've also heard that areas can be "farmed to death". So i'm assuming that means that most of the rare drops are gone and the place is pretty much dry.

Well, any input on this would be appreciated.

I've been doing that same run...with the two quests...killing what like 4 bosses per run...necros, warriors, ritualist, elementalists....usually 2-3 chests per run...haven't gotten any tomes to drop...except one Ranger Elite from a chest

Yeah, I did that run for quite a while on my ele maxing out SS/LB... and I think I maybe had 1 regular tome drop ever. So it might just be a bad area. (Personally I think that once ANET discovered people were farming there, after that update that removed HM from challenge mission towns, the drops got nerfed. Certainly there are fewer chests along the run).

When I need some quick exp to get a skillpoint, I usaually kill a boss some times...

I can say that I haven't seen a single tome in the last 100 times I killed Mr. Entrop...

...but all my Zenmai and most of my guildies' Zenmais have its daggers...

I'm also starting to think there is a problem about their drop.

Maybe your groups have henchmans / heros in your group that makes the tome drop less but if you take them out and add real player they mite start dropping aot

I have a bunch of toons, one has been farming for ss/lb points, but havent been doing it recently (took a break and played other toons). So one of my other toons has finally made it to the remains and does the first monolith temple quest....the first drop is a dervish tome, also got a ranger tome later; however, have yet to get an elite tome----ever! I hadnt gotten a tome drop in weeks, then I get 2 in one run....whatever.

Ive been Solo Farming a few areas in HM as well and used to earn 1-2 tomes an hour. For the past month Ive found 1 tome. ANET says the anti farm code does not work in HM but I still don't believe it. Ive had diminishing returns little by little in each area I farm.
