How do you think the Armbrace market will stabilize?
Did the problem get out of hand to the extent that Armbraces are going to be completely out of whack (price-wise) for quite some time? Or have the bannings been widescread and ruthless enough that the problem is mostly nipped in the bud?
More importantly, how will this affect the population in the Domain of Anguish? This one may be more difficult to tell since GW:EN is so close to release, and it will obviously mean a diminishing number of people trying DoA as well.
Personally, I think for the next 3-4 weeks, Armbraces will be much, much lower. I think many have perhaps slipped through into casual markets, and those afraid that further bannings will occur may be pressured to sell the ones they have for less than ideal (for the seller) prices. But it'll slowly correct itself over the course of time. How slowly, I don't know. It also remains to be seen if Anet considers a rollback or other extreme follow-up measures.

My input: armbraces are going to hit rock bottom. Just like ecto.

I think they are now stigmatized. Noone will want to buy one from someone else, or in their minds they are risking getting banned.
Also, considering that so many of them got duped and distributed, the cache of owning a tormented item has gone way down. People won't want to do the work themselves to get their own armbrace, because the perceived lack of stature that owning an item that got mass duped and distributed for very cheap prices.
I've read with great interest the related threads, from how it got started, to how it got out of control, to how Anet is dealing with it, Gaile's responses, and the ultimate outcomes (no rollback, some bannings, items not being erased).
There's no right answer to this, the entire situation is terrible, and is further proof of this game's demise.

Gonna drop mad to about 50k probably. I doubt it will go back up... then again, we don't know that much about the banning policies yet.

My god, who the hell cares.
Stop creating ridiculous threads.
You cannot possibly know how many (even roughly) were leaked into the economy and its been said they might still be banning/cleaning so theres not point on speculating at this time.

Some guildies were mentioning them being 100k + xx ecto in their search to get some for cheap as a result of the dupe, but I haven't heard anything about the prices after the bannings were handed out. There were numerous "WT B Ambrace" in the party searches for dirt cheap but to no avail.

Well, since most of the armbraces were deleted that were duped, gone with all the banned accounts, I estimate that they'll stabalize around 100k +20-30E from the scare.
Seriously, it's not like they got any easier to obtain. Gemsets soared today because people wanted to get safe items and DoA is still DoA. They'll go down some, but not to rock bottom. The spammers that say "WTB Armbrace 10k" are not going to be very sucessful, as no one will sell to that.

Its a bit soon to say isn't it... i mean we don't even know what Anet are going to do to the Armbraces once the accounts they were traded to are unbanned.

Lowest I've seen so fare in DoA is 100k +35e
I don't think peoples are or should be too wary about buying armbraces for whatever current market price is, if you read gaile's latest post I think most would agree.
I personally think it will drop to 100k +10-30e and stay there also due to eye of the north releasing.
Imo. sell the gemsets for 28k pr while you can, I sold mine (15) this morning.

Anet has been extremely quiet about the whole thing. Since the bannings have already occured, it is a real possibility that they will continue to be quiet and go on and let the market fix itself, maybe banning a few more learned dupers along the way.

It'll be low right now cause player's think there is a ton of them (there isn't cause of the bans), then stabalize cause smart people who have legit armbraces won't trade right now.

Can no one think of anyone but themselves?
No, because this will hurt a lot of farmers. This may be good for you because you only need to buy ONE, and now you can get a week sooner in your farming, but think of all the people who farm DoA. If the price drops, the gem price drops, as do tormented items. Since DoA is the best moneymaker in game, argueably between Urgoz and the Deep and itself, people who farm it will have more trouble getting money, making the game's max profit activity give less profit with no additional profit to any other activity.
This was very bad for the market.

... and why does anyone care?
Guild Wars isn't Materialism Wars - if you want a game based around loot go play WoW.

Speak for yourself thx
People bought ambraces at 100K + 50Ecto's Plus. Now I know as most of you that items tend to devaluate over time. But 30Ecto's + Price difference through an eploit is hardly fair for people who already farmed, payed there but off for one. Don't tell people how to play. I still think anet has to give something back to the community as compensation for the losses.
Hell if it turns out that I could have bought 1 ambrace for 20K and gotten away with it, I 'm ashamed to say that it's a pitty that I din't buy one (Which is prolly the truth as gaile mentioned in another thread )
