still think they need to add boot commands to a team, so that if a team doesnt want a member they can choose to click the boot next to his name. If everone chooses to boot him they can. (they'll still have to 3v4 the run, but they'll have a chance for a better member after. That or make boots happen after a run so the team will have to deal with the "runner/afk/whatever" for 1 round, but he cant keep messing with them if they win.)

Until they find a way to stop all the problems they give people a legit reason to leave they shouldnt be punishing people for leaving.

Examples include:
Runners
Pure deffensive teams
People leaving before you
etc etc etc

Until problems like the above are addressed I dont think its right to punish people for leaving when they are not the cause of the problem.

I belive Andrew Patrick said something about putting a time limit on matchs to stop people for Running the whole match.

Yes but the time limit would still have to allow for a reasonable length in match. Even if you only have to wait 10 mins while someone runs around or the game is in stalemate, thats still 10 mins of wasted time if you cant leave due to a punishment for leaving.

Er, how about when there's a disconnect on my team and it's 3v4, I can't leave that match and have to stick it out?

what if you're on a team of 4 monks or 4 pure defense characters?

what good does the time limit do then, draw? advance both teams to the next round?

poorly implemented, the penalty on leavers will just make RA less enjoyable for most. good thing is this will hopefully encourage more players to go to TA... or not

You people act like you don't play this game for fun anymore. If it's 1v4 I'll still charge out there. Will I win? Obviously not. Will I amuse myself doing so? Damned right I will.

I hope this helps with AB also. I hate when there's a leecher on our map, so then two or three other people also quit because they can't imagine a scenario where 11 of us could actually defeat 12 of them. Or when one member of my group leaves because its 100-50 and they have six flags. Big whoop ya pansy, tough it up and make it a comeback. Don't wuss out at the first sign of despair.

Once I got a person trying to get Survivor on RA I touched him ONCE because he was last....he quit.

while it may be fun and amusing for you, it isn't for others

also, i'd like to see if disconnects trigger the 'deserter' penalty, because it isn't hard to fake a disconnect and reconnect

That requires all your team to use it. Obviousely with a runner thats not going to happen, and in a stalemate a lot of the time you have more than 1 player who is quite happy to wait it out and see if they win.

What happens if you see a wammo with retribution and holy wrath. what happens when you see a dervish have nothing but earth paryer skills with mystic regen, what happens if you see a assassin using axe skills, what happens if you see a ranger going close to someone and use star burst.???!!!!???!!!!
