After playing dozens of games at HvH Arena, I must say there is only one conclusion:

Get a pet.

If you don't get a pet, you're at a serious disadvantage - Especially with auto res every 30 secs. Pets being able to count as a "hero" for shrines, is simply overpowered. I think that decision is totally off-balanced. If you don't got a team full of pets - tough luck. You're probably going to get owned, and there is nothing you can do much about it.

Heck, I bet that you could just charge at the 4 shrines with you, 3 heroes and 4 pets with monks, control as many as you can and win this. You will have at least 2 shrines gg at any point.

I'm not the pro-est player at HvH, not even close. But I think I played it will enough to understand that this is it - either you do it, or most usually you will have to face a loss, unless your enemy player is a serious noob.

In anyway, I think that sucks. I want variety and I don't think pets deserve to be count as +1 for shrines. If they do - make rit spirits the same. Besides mobility, they attack and do voices like pets.

Pets do not count for shrines. People bring pets for the skill Heal As One.

Er last I checked, pets didn't count, though maybe they tripped up something of late.

Maybe this pet build is the only effective one that's gone around. Maybe you should think outside the box and make something for yourself to destroy the pet build (which is obviously most popular)

Pets may not count, but his underlying point is valid. Hero Battles is the dullest form of PvP I've ever played.

Yeah, pets don't count. Most likely, he didn't notice the NPC henchman (which does count) causing the shrines to be captured (5 people vs 4).

Hero Battles are terrible. That poisionous bite R/P pet build is one of the most annoying things I've ever seen. HB is the definition of cookie cutter PvP. Not fun at all (since a lot of the fun in real PvP is with the interaction with you and your teammates, which doesn't exist in HB).
