I agree Having played other online games GW has the quickest response
rate around. Never been hacked, or accts stolen. Also I find it very hard to believe (unless brand new acct) that someone doesn't know what belongs in pre. Anet can easily see an accounts age so that arguement doesn't hold true.

To the below poster - Tome = hard mode you joined in 2006 this forum and playing that long and you don't know that?

I do not recall reading anywhere where it states tomes do NOT drop in Pre.
It’s possible there is, and I have missed it.

Someone want to post the info that clearly states tomes do NOT drop in Pre?

Gaile,
Could Anet clean up the mess in its entirety, and not leave remnants lying around as usual? After all, you have these godly logs, it shouldn’t be an issue?

18% is the highest natural drop in pre-searing.

There is no hard mode in Pre-searing. Tomes are a hardmode drop only, so no. Tomes absolutely CANNOT drop in presearing. end of discussion.

Nope, they have stated that they are not going after glitch gear other than tomes, and those that used them. As long as you pay a "market" price, you don't even have to worry about being stung by the dupe police.

Go ahead.

The proggy I mentioned was the old map hack one from the begining of prophecies, it is and was relavant.

I want to get my mitts on the code for the "hack." But aside from a few people (and yes, it was few) making some dupes or moving from Pre- to Post-Searing and back -- and both were dealt with quite thoroughly and well -- I just don't see that we have anything to point to as a problem right now.
But yet cant you see everything and anything. Be harsh as you want, But blindness can be cripppling. Just like not knowing mallyx didnt belong in pre-searing. I suggest taking a better look at your logs. I showed you were to get them.

I'm frustrated that glitches like this continually devalue the hardcore players and time spent playing of those players by delegitimizing important aspects of the game, especially a community that takes itself so seriously (like the presearing community).

There are still unconditional +damage weapons out there from the aria sea chest exploit way back during the launch. It is funny how they did not nerf those weapons but yet went to nerf the 15% Fiery Flame Splitter. Both effecting the gameplay slightly. Somehow they tend not to remove remnants that come in small numbers and not widely known.

From what I know there are still some low level mission reward weapons that come in crazy stats that effect the gameplay slightly. Like a axe that does very little damage +5 en while hexed +5 en while enchanted +5en while...etc something like that. Great for a 55hp monk

And their logs can only go so far... They still need help from the community no matter how godly they say it is
