You won't get a list of all the titles you have achieved. You will only see the Kind of Big Deal title track, and a big story about you saved Tyria/ Cantha/ Elona. Big dissapointment for me... Mabye they'l fix it once the actual expansion goes live.

I'm just going to stop working on the HoM, since it doesn't reflect my actual characters, and I'm unlikely to buy GW2 at this point.
I'm here for the story (which is good) and the dungeons.
But it would have been nice if the HoM actual did what they said it did, and had statues of us and our ranger pets.

Oh. Wow.
Well, then. >_>
Thanks for the info, though. Always nice to hear that there are other rangers who don't feel pets are only good for IWAY. ^_^
I know exactly what you mean. My dear Redfeather is a moa, of course, and all moas are adorable, but I'm really starting to resent the Hell out of that darned spiky black chicken.
In my opinion, having the same RED moa (actually, he was a Strider) from Pre-Searing, day-one of GW, is far more impressive than grabbing that latecomer, overdressed, already-leveled, too-common, SMALL (Redfeather is almost twice as big) bird from Factions.
In other words, I have no interest in a statue of a random circus act, instead of my lifelong companion. Very insulting.
On the other hand, I luckily share your opinions on the Hall in general. I'm not all that excited about GW2, and am really looking forward to the story and dungeons in GW:EN, not the hall.
So, once again, I just have to shake my head at the terrible presentation, ignore the whole place, and go on with enjoying the plot.

Obviously you don't know how production works. By 7 days before release the content is GOLD; meaning, at its final state. If its not what it's intended to be, its an unfinished product. 7 Days most likely wont change a thing; this is probably how they intended it to be all along. Sure they can and probably will change it due to this massive outcry; but the product has most likely been considered 'finished for at least a few days before the preview went live.

While I definitely don't think things will change in the HoM between now and release, there is certainly time and opportunity to implement some of the changes that people are more... vocal about.
What it comes down to was that I was sort of operating under the assumption that I'd be able to put whatever armor/weapons/etc. I wanted into the HoM. If I want to immortalize my Vampiric 12^Enchanted Steel Daggers of Fortitude (+27), damn it, I should be able to!
Also, a question to the people who wear custom sets of armor (i.e., mixing and matching from different armor sets, not just colors): what does it look like when you try to put your armor in?

Actually, if you have gotten a Black Widow Spider from the Underworld, they allow you to put the Black Widow in as well as the "Animal Companion" Option. I suppose it's the same with the Black Moa. (allows you to put both) But I guess you only get specific Pet statues for the pets that ANet considers Elite. If that's the case, I'd expect the Phoenix at the end of Factions would get it's own statue as well. I really hope ANet doesn't leave it this way. I also hope they allow the pet statue to retain the name you give your pet with the /petname command. Just having a generic Black Widow instead of my pet Nightshade kinda bugged me.

This better be a bug. Why the hell would I want Mesmer Armor in my Warrior's HoM? Even worse, I can't display my favorite weapon of all time? The first gold I ever received? My kickass Wingblade Sword? Dirtiest trick anet has ever pulled.

Am I the only one pissed that you have to have a full set of one type of armor?
My war uses a mix of 15k kurz, glad, primeval, and sunspear.
My monk uses a mix of 15k tats, kurz, and primeval
Cost just as much as a set, just as much work (if not more) yet I dont get anything cause I didnt want to be like the 15k wammo clone army (which has since then converted to the primveal wammo clone army) or the 15k tat monk clones.

No, you're not the only one. It seems to me that a LOT of people are pissed. Then anet will ignore it for a while.... we'll pipe down... and we'll still get squat for our efforts. Standard procedure for them.

Now it sounds more like a bug then a feature. If it was a feature they'd all be the same one, but since different classes of armour are showing different (but wrong) sets of statues, my guess is it's just picking a wrong number or something and will be fixed. It would explain why a warrior shows one type of armour (or one for male and one for female) and a Ranger shows another type.
just my guess..
as far as the pets, yeah I was pretty disappointed. I didn't plan on buying GW2 even before the preview (nothing against GW2 I just don't want to invest in a new ANet game, but am already invested in GW), but would've enjoyed seeing a statue of the warthog I capped in the northlands pre-searing over two years ago after release. He's pretty infamous in some circles lol. He went to Fissure and UW with me, finished all the campaigns with me (for the most part), pvp'ed with me, and even did the drok's run with me a few times (and got other ppl trying to follow along killed back when pets could block).
There's something most people complaining are missing though. ANet never lied about what was going to be in HoM. What they said is pretty much what we get. ArenaNet isn't Blizzard. They don't have a public test server or talk about the changes to the game prior to the changes going live (as opposed to initial announcements). ArenaNet is very skilled at saying the minimal, allowing expectations to rise, and then claiming none of that which was expected was ever promised. They are extremely good at that. It even seems like they go out of their way to make sure what they release conflicts with what is expected, things which most of us would take for granted. They talked about pets being immortalized, well in a sense they are. They never said (which one would reasonable expect) that they were going to 'personalize' your immortalized pet. It's more like 'you had Charm Animal and used it' rather than 'You had a Warthog, and a Black Widow, etc'. I guess the exceptions are what they consider rare pets. So the point is, don't say they didn't give what they promise because they did. They are either just devoid of common sense or spiteful. Who knows. Maybe they were the rejects from Blizzard (or maybe they were made they didn't get their way, I really don't know). However, you should expect absolutely no more than what they say. Don't assume anything, even if it seems like common sense. They have become the masters of selling stuff.
Other than HoM (which doesn't really affect those that aren't buying GW2 anyhow), GW:EN seems to be turning out awesome. I haven't had this much fun in GW in a very long time. Kudos to ArenaNet for developing a good expansion (at least in the preview). Thank you for not making it a 40 dollar Domain of Anguish...

lol maybe anet is just purposely trying to spite us and making it so no matter what class you are a different class will be the statue in your HoM. Like I mentioned in All Chat inside GW:EN how my grotto armor (druids) had an elementalist statue and an elementalist spoke up. He said his grotto armor displayed a necro statue :P.
I'm sure thats not the case tho....anet deliberately doing that that is...

yeah now it really does sound like a bug. I'm pretty certain it will be fixed then. I still believe that whoever they assigned to HoM (design and develop) was either incompetent, or knew he/she would get a paycheck anyhow (after all it's effectivle a lame duck after this expansion since GW2 is coming out so who would care)

Believe me guys, if this HoM thing is bug/unfinished, Anet would've come out and told us already, since it's clearly affecting GWEN sells right now.
Think about it. Which company would leave people angry about their game's main feature BEFORE the game comes out, if it's NOT TRUE?
But instead Gaile came out and responded to someone (in the complain thread) who praised the music.... How nice of her.

You are not alone in here, most of my character use mixed sets, with maybe one or two complete 15k sets. Thou i would consider having to have whole set (minus head) kinda acceptable.
But i do miss ability to be immortalized in my favourite armor.

I am on here with you. My pet is still Stalker from presearing, first ever captured.
Now you tell me that in monument, he will be just "Generic nonleet pet no.1"? No, thanks.
