I just left LA to kill more skales....there are NONE now where they use to be!

My theory:
all of these items together in GW:EN somewhere will make a mini moa. However, this moa can only be obtained ONCE per character (not account) as to limit the number in game. So in a sense there will be a limited number...but you could just keep remaking chars to get the moa which imo is dumb (becuase you have to get your char so far in nightfall and GW:EN to make the moa which is too time consuming i would assume)

most likely if all of these materials can be combined in some way to get a mini moa pet (or something like that) then it will be only one per person. seeing as how nesting material cannot be dropped or traded means that people HAVE to have nightfall to get the special item. Now...whats stopping a person from putting all the items together and mass producing the special item? most likely, whatever these random items make will be a limit of one per char.

I'm starting to think that this will all result in a consumable. A somewhat potent consumable that requires quite the effort to obtain, and perhaps only one can be crafted and held until it is used. We already have salads, soup, kebobs, golden eggs, cupcakes, etc. A little thank you from anet to those who own all three campaigns + expansion maybe?

You know that whatever comes out of these eggs are gonna be customized right? I mean really, they are customozing minipets in HoM, they are not gonna give away a bunch of minis without doing so. I can't belive Anet would allow the amount of farming people are doing for a minipet, can you?

Really I saw a guy with a stack of hardened eggs just last night. 250 runs outside the Fort just seems rediculous.

anyways I really want to see where this is going, hopefully we can find out in less then 12 hours!!!

I'm upset that they made the stuff so that I can't put it in storage. I can understand not making the items tradeable or customizing whatever comes from the egg. After all if they do mean for this to be a reward for those who own all the campaigns, then that makes sense.

But, please, please please allow free movement within the account. I would never have transfered the items to a minor mule character if I had known they'd be stuck there.

Sigh, I guess I'll be farming skree wings this evening.

Maybe the minimoa pet becomes "Attached" to you so you can't really trade it because your its mommy =P. Or the mini moa baby is very "fragile" since its so small and stuff and cannot be dropped or traded as well?

We experimented and found out if any character in the group had already entered eotn, the scale were gone. We formed a group with characters that hadn't done the preview and the scale were back.

I went with a guildie who went through EoTn and the skales WERE there just not as much. about 50% of them were there still.

I feel your pain, although I was lucky enough to have a couple nesting materials in my storage when the change was made. Got a handful of eggs both hardened and not plus lava rocks there too. Guess there they stay until this thing gets revealed.

One thing is for certain now, the reward is character based and not account based, be it a mini pet, consumable, or whatever.

Telling it like it is, ie not beating around the bush, is being direct. It is entirely possible to be direct without being mean spirited, judgmental and critical... not easy though... I know.

Scales are at LA, but spawn was changed: you just have to go a bit north and there is massive spawn.

Please look back in this thread for Gaile's comments. She all but said these were for some sort of picnic. I think that points to something along the lines of the mini pig, collect all this stuff and get that thingy.

I farmed a good amount of skales at watchtower coast pretty quick and easy for me just 2 groups between me and skales

Not really. People are too damn sensitive and really need to get over it. There are ALOT of people who are truly mean spirited. I am not. I just tell it how it is and if people dont like it thats there problem not mine. So if youre too sensitive to take it then I would suggest crawling in a hole somewhere cause you will never get away from it.
