Not to be dense here, but what exactly is the complaint? That the weird drops happened, that they were fixed or that the oddities weren't removed? That the odd balls still out there are spendy because they are few in number and don't drop because...well...they were kinda wrong? That you feel a need to have every green and can't afford these that are expensive or don't want to spend the cash? I'm pretty darn sure the devs aren't sitting behind their desks at 3:00 am hyped up on caffine saying "Now here's a way to REALLY mess with Gloria.....heh heh" back in '06 btw wasn't it? The wand is pretty useless anyway. You can craft one easily. Check guildwiki for a list for crafters/collectors.

All i know is, I'm looking at my Wroth's Holy Rod and my Ivor's Smiting Rod on my storage char, and they both have the same stats.

my collection is about getting all the green weapons, by the boss dropping the weapon, the fact is there is now 2 wroths holy rods available and the old 1 isnt available threw a drop anymore, and i dont care if the wand is better or worse, i want it for the fact its a green, and now the fact the stats are different i want the old one(have the new one)

Oh and to the kids who think i was meaning "A-Net Screwed me" it was literally but i guess its hard to get that past what the eyes fail to read in the first place, A-Net screwed me out of my collection and Sargeant of Marines if u dont like the thread u can simpley ignore it or F**K off!!!

the thread was simple either make both versions of wroths holy rod available, or bring the old rod back........peace

First thing's first. The req 9 smiting only affects the damage dealt by the wand and not the mods on the protection wand. So unless you wand enemies to death, it won't make a difference.

There's also the Droknar's Protection Scepter which is exactly the same, only with req 9 protection.

And Gloria? If you can't be articulate, don't expect others to read your little frenzy. Elaboration works far better than screaming and shouting.

why would you want a prot wand anyway? Why not just get a prot staff with top-shelf mods?

Reading through the OP's rant, what he/she is moaning about is the fact that they want to collect every green and there is now an unavailable version of one. Have to say with the OP's "throwing toys out of pram" attitude whilst telling people to RED GORED ENGINE off, they aren't going to draw any sympathy from me.
Personally I think its was a good change anyway, made a pretty pathetic wand into something a bit more viable. Why should Anet make the old one available? They decided it wasn't suitable and so changed it for a reason. If you want the old one, cough up the cash (its the same as any collector of something, they often have to pay extra if they want that now unavailable limited edition item or first edition book/comic etc).
I don't like the idea of having a chest for rare items, it just seems a retarded (to use what seems to be OPs favorite word) method to allow the OP to get their OBSOLETE green..
