I gotta say, god I love outdated pricing. It's $9.99 US and $12.99 Canada. Today our dollar hit $0.98 US, and has been over $0.95 for quite sometime, so we're actually paying $12.73 US.

Not sure if this helps anyone but most box stores have vendors that come once a week to load the mag racks. So you may have to wait a little longer Wink at the cashier and ask them when they normally come in. (At least in my rural backwoods bum foo Egypt location that is how it is)

The 25th is when Halo 3 launches...
Good luck getting people on the phone about a special Guild Wars magazine!
(no-one I've talked to in San Antonio has even heard about it... of course)

I just hope that several copies get put on eBay. As I'm in England, I'll not be able to get hold of one of these easily.

- We will provide information for you today (18 Sept) at Noon Pacific. That's when it was scheduled to be posted, as that was supposed to be a week in advance.
- The mag officially hits shelves on September 25th, so if you're seeing it in a store, it's early.
- The magazine is North American only, sorry. The NCsoft Europe Marketing Team devised another giveaway for several European countries, as you're probably aware.
- I am sorry, I do not know if this issue will be sent to subscribers or not. It could be an extra edition, I'm just not sure. (But will try to find out.)
- This is an exclusive Guild Wars Issue, the first ever of its kind by PC Gamer. They approached us with the idea not too long ago, and I do think you'll be pleased with all the art, all the info, and the helpful walk-through of the primary repeatable quests for GW:EN.
- Yes, there is information about Guild Wars 2, as written by Ree Soesbee, who is a team member you may not have met yet but will get to hear from more in the future. (Nice person, too!)
- Retail cost: $9.95.
- Miniature: Priceless.
Hope that's helpful info.

Damn Gaile, you stole my thunder. I actually called PC Gamer and talked to someone to verify. I was feeling all proud of myself and was going to post to let everyone know and then I saw your post. Oh well.

Or find an american you can trust, send them the money and they can email you the code or the mag if that's what you want. Not sure how converting the money would work tho.

They give the word noob a whole new meaning because what do mini pets do? nothing! I sooner spend money on armors or weapons instead of a useless little things that runs around and maybe makes a sound (if your lucky). But people do anything to make a fast buck and make their e-peens as large as possible.

Personally, I think you're an ass. When you spend money on armor or weapons, you're doing it for the same reason people buy mini pets, because they look cool. Collector armor and weapons are just as good as anything else and you're spending gold to get something for it's looks. Who's the noob now?

Just to follow up, Gaile confirmed that this issue will not be mailed to Subscribers.

Oh, I don't doubt it.
I'm just not expecting great customer service as I call every gamestore and bookstore in San Antonio...
(well, I guess Bookstores won't care. It's not like the last Harry Potter book release or anything)

I think the concern of Europeans is by the time they get the pet, it will only be worth 10k.
While early bird North Americans will make 100k+.
BTW, Pc Gamer's circulation was around 300,000 in 2005, so I doubt they'll be printing 1 million of these.
"PC Gamer continued to meet its rate base of 300,000, maintaining its category leadership in circulation. As per the FAS-FAX report, the magazine’s circulation is more than 45% larger than its rival Computer Gaming World (CGW) and outsells CGW on newsstand by nearly a 3 to 1 ratio. The FAS-FAX report also demonstrates that CGW’s circulation decreased by 15% since the prior period (December 2004 ABC FAS-FAX report), while PC Gamer maintained its rate base guarantee."
http://www.futureus-inc.com/archives...ial_xbox_m.php
EDIT: old article, circulation is larger by now, but certainly not up to a million

That's awesome. A week from now you'll be able to buy it back for less than 100k.
