So God dang sick of it
Bare with me here, but when I was younger (not to show my age), my brother and I would walk down to the 7-11 on the corner and play this really sweet new game called Mario Brothers. It was cutting edge technology, and we had a lot of fun playing it. Put a quarter in, play, die, repeat. Every once and a while, you'd drop your quarter in and the machine wouldn't register it, it would just flash the 0/1. So you go to the attendant and say, "hey, I put my money in and it took it", and the attendant would look at you and say "so? I can't do anything about it." And you carried your ass on home, or put another quarter in if you had more. Simple. I ponder this only because I am so God dang tired of reading posts on here with people complaining about A-Net, "A-Net blah blah EOTN", "A-Net screwed us with armor", "A-Net banned me for running a bot". Sick of it. What is it that has changed us so much that we now feel this sense of 'entitlement' to get more than what we deserve? And hey, I include myself in this, as a search of my posts will pull up a few where I have bitched about Nerf's and other things, so I'm not trying to seem like I'm on a high horse. I read a post earlier about a guy whinning about the dispersion of mini's for a contest going on. He thought 3rd prize was better than 1st and 2nd. I followed the link and read the page, and was immediately all freaking jazzed up about the contest, figuring out what I was going to do to enter. That got me thinking back to the whinner, and all the other whiny little posts that I read through daily on a Guild Wars FANSITE. Please, try to remember that while there are some legitimate gripes out there, coming here to post about how you feel it's a tradgedy and unacceptable that A-Net has made a modification to their game, or a decision for a promotion that you don't like, and most likely doesn't affect you at all, is a supreme waste of your time. You will likely not find many sympithizers, and it will in the end, make absolutely zero diferrence. I mean, damn dude, it's just a quarter. Get over it. Carry you ass on home, or put another in and keep playing.
