I think what it meant was you don't get points per enemy killed, but you get points after every 25 enemies.

I dont know why some of you are making such a big fuss over the report system. You really think that ANET isnt going to look at reports before granting bans? And big whoop, you get a timeout in PVP for dishonorable conduct.
Basically if you're pretty much a model citizen, you should have nothing to worry about even though there are jerks who will abuse the system. I mean how often will you get the attention of a--wipes unless you're actually looking for trouble?
I'm glad this system is in. I probably won't use it much since I pretty much keep to myself but the threat of punishment will hopefully keep the idiots at bay. Look at how they improved the local chat and got rid of the trade spam. I say good job ANET.

That's Wrong, you just get the a certain random blessing depending on the title track. For example, if you have r8 deldrimor, then you get the Great Dwarf's blessing which gives 20 AL for 60 seconds.

The reporting system can also be used to report bots, scammers, bad names, or inappropriate in-game behavior. I guess griefing and leeching are considered a PVP-only problem. Kinda makes sense in a way, since those are competitive, timed matches, and PVE can be restarted at will most of the time.
I don't think there would be any issue though about reporting outrageous behavior that is the PVE equivalent to griefing and leeching.
I just hope it doesn't get too abused and they drop the idea.

The rank 8 thing means, even though you do *not* get faction/promotion points anymore, you get a different blessing which gives you the morale boosts/25 killed. There was a lot of folks who didnt like that they had worked hard and acchieved what should be a desireable thing (the current 'max' in dwarven title) but now they can't get anything from the dungeon shrines points *or* effects. This update makes it so they will get something if not promotion points. It's a good fix.

All around a good update in my opinion. I'm a little worried about the /report option though. Not because i'm afraid of getting reported if I do something that is against the actual rules, but getting reported by f-tards that just think it'll be fun to report random people, or whoever they might get owned by in pvp, etc etc. I guess we got nothing to worry about if they actualy investigate all of these reports. Which will be very time consuming depending on how many people use this.

I can confirm this, as I had 316 points before, and now have 336 points after doing the plans for Flame Temple Corridor.

Punishing people who falsely report get these Dishonor points? And you need 1/3 of group to achieve it? (Note to ArenaNet; You can't take 1/3 of 4 or 8 evenly)
So that's 2 players in a RA match and 3 players in a FA match. If that many people on your team is spending that much time reporting, your team has bigger problems than leechers. And, of course, when someone gets punished for correctly reporting a leecher, but since no one else reports the leecher, there will be mass whining.
Also, I can't wait to see the 4 man AB guild group who reports everyone.
I'd offer a comparison to WoW's reporting system...but I'd be flamed mercilessly for even suggesting it.

PLEASE LEARN TO READ CAREFULLY.
You cant just go around reporting anyone you want for anything you want. You get dishonor points for falsely reporting people and then the whole thing backfires against you. The system is good. The system is smart. I like it and it MUST stay. First really important thing Anet did in a long time. Thank you Anet for listening to people like me who constantly complain.

But dishonor points only prevent you from entering PvP. PvEers can use/abuse it without punishment.

were they forgotten or is the fix just not retroactive?

I really don't like what they did to the glad point sysytem. What I liked about glad title is that glad points weren't farmable like hero points and everything else. I feel that ANET is cheapening PvP. If people wants glad points they should put the same amount of time and effort that the people who already hold these titles do, IMO.

I have a feeling the report system will get abused far too much in the next few days but give it a week and it should be fine... I do see people reporting for :
-OMG you suck! Use a better build! (PvP & PvE PUGs)... I like to test stupid builds and mess around so no PUGs for me that's for sure... PvP people will just have to suffer me though ahah
-I bet that guy was a bot because he is using a 55monk and he has no clan... it doesn't matter that I have no proof : report report report
-Hey guys, let's all report this guy because he doesn't want to help me or run me... I'll get my guild to report him too so he can't PvP for a long time!
*edit*

Getting Glad points is still very long, and anyone wanting to get it needs to put a lot of time in... rank 1 = 4 times more than before just to give you an idea
and they multiplied the title track by 6 for people who have them already. It's a fair update

It's not "PvP only", since you "can?" report bots... or did I read something wrong (haven't played Guild Wars since GWEN came out, so I'm LOST)
