well thanks for the tips and advice guys...I guess I will try to see what I can come up with this weekend. What are some popular team choices? I hear spiritway is a good one...anyone have a link with the team builds? I will probably be looking to counter those since those have a good chance of being played this weekend.

Actually, getting help in the starting areas of the game isn't too hard, especially since many officers of guilds will help new players in hopes of recruiting them.

This is no big deal people. It is Arena nets last ditch effort to save HA due to the removeing the favor system.
I know many of you will say HA is not dead but when was the last time you went to HA american dist i check daily and it is always at 1 dist with mabey 1 group half formed.

OK Again Trying to save HA Your quote as follows is more proof
yes i understand everyone is in Internationl But last time i checked and it is as often as checking american all international is is Rank 10+ lf Rank 10+ must be Rank 10+ group bull I have r4 i love my bambi and trying to get a r4 group is a joke these days.
Considering that the FAME FARMING SERVICE IS BACK which means 1 Rank 10+ group Holding halls all day because someone Ebayed and is dumb enough to pay 3k a fame point

People generally don't form up in regional districts anymore, the action's in the International Districts.

On topic though, Heroes' Ascent is kind of like a catch 22. I'm only Rank 3 because of ZoS, I once played HA with a guild called 'The Black Parades' and got Rank 2, but then due to the difficulty of finding a PUG, I never went above Rank 2 and just left my fame alone for a long time.

When I joined ZoS, I jumped right into the PvP elements again and got Rank 3 really fast.

The best way to get fame is to make friends that know what they're doing when it comes to Heroes' Ascent and then try to unlock as much stuff as possible. Make sure to let these people know you're willing and able to run any build and hey presto, you've got yourself a bambi.

and how many HA players do you think gave a flying toss about winning favor for their continent or whayever? I think I can count the number that cared on zero hands.

HA players played HA for tigers you can flash in the faces of random people, people that still play HA (lol) play it for birds that go in the air

Only the title rank is worth to play. I'll go with my luxon title instead, since there's no discrimination at all

bingo.

Doesn't help nearly as much on guild apps as it used to either.

Used to play HA for fun... farming builds made it not so fun, double fame fails again!

I guarantee almost everyone who has their bambi or higher has went through the whole rank discrimination bullcrap. I've been through it before, but I didn't complain like countless others. I knew it was going to be hard, especially since I didn't know anybody decent in HA and that it would take some networking in order to work my way up. Many unranked players fail to see how being in a GUILD can easily help you climb the rank pyramid. It doesn't matter if the guild is successful or not. It's the CONNECTIONS you make from being in that guild.

Back when I was r0 a year ago, I joined a r3+ guild that took me in because I had a gladiator title. The leader was r6 and through him and the ranked members, I met other ranked players. I showed that I could play my roles well and they later didnt give a damn that I was unranked. After the guild fell apart, I still kept in touch with some of those people and managed to get into their r5+ groups when I was only r2. Keep in mind this was a year ago when being r6 was considered "high ranked". Right now, many HAers consider r6 to be the new r3 so its a LOT harder for new comers since the HA scene has been out longer now. However, if you're only going for your bambi (which most PvErs want) then you save yourself the hassle.
