Xunlai House Results September
Anybody got any good results?
I havent logged on yet and I dont know we have been awarded with points yet, but by my own calculations, I only made 4 Prediction Points and thus will be awarded a meager 25 Tournament Points.
I predicted according to the teams Qualifier Points, the higher the QP, the higher the chance they would end in the top 8, right? WRONG!
Of all the QP high placed GvG teams, NOBODY actually ended in the top 8...
Only Ekelon and Glyph from the HvH devision ended in the top8, so I was awarded 2 points for each...
This aint really a rant, since theres actually nothing to rant about.
But since I have got your attention, I might as well adress another issue about this. The Tournament Points sytem really is bad if you ask me, since you don't actually 'unlock' the item on your account. Only if you have a perma PvP character, it would be ok, but since I have only 1 slot left (of 11 in total), I like to change characters. And going in PvP with a PvE character would really be a bad idea, although I know some people actually do this. Cant we make the PvP upgrades permanent? If so you could always raise the TP needed for them, but they are high enough if you ask me...
Another point would be: MAKE POLYMOCK PVP ISLE!!!!!
Thats what I thought Polymock would be at first. It would make the game more repeatable as well. And Polymock is really cool, except against dumb AI. Real Players would make it a lot more interesting.
Hmm maybe I should have posted this in Sardelac...

I have 10 PPts from the 1v1 tournament, by ranking them by their QPts. The GvG tournament could only net me 2PPts..
I hope the PPts earned from the two tournaments aren't tallied together to give a combined total, that would be criminal =P

I have six points from each. Placed them roughly in the order they were listed, but then gave extra favour to those with a higher win-loss ratio, and added some random fuzz for luck.
Also: can I say that as a casual PvE player, it totally sucks I need to go to the wiki to find out what the fsck I can do with these tournament points? Might've been nice to have that be included on the website somewhere. Then again, if it had been, I'd probably not have bothered. The only interesting thing for me is perhaps some piece of "fancy" armor, but that would effectively cost me 1050 points, or about a year's worth of guessing.
Bring back the roller beetle tonics!

I got 1 single point. Can't say I'm disappointed, I've no use for tournament points anyway.

If you have been hiding under a rock this last half year, it's possible to upload your predictions on who will win the monthlies. You gain prizes if you're awesome at predicting who will win. You can use Tournament points to get skins for pvp characters and flames of balthazar.

How do you get your rewards? Is it automatic, or do you have to visit the Xunlai Tournament Agent in Lions Arch, Kamadan or Kaineng?

I ended up getting 13 out of the GvG I believe, by looking at the results of the last tournament and some guess work, but only got 1 point out of HvH as I pretty much went by names. Slightly annoying, as to get my Perma-PvP a full new set of armour would have needed 80, but only got 75 .
Give 5 free points for participating or 1 score point! :P :P

I got half out of each. That is I listed half of the winners, but I didn't check close enough to see if they're in the correct order. I'd probably say not.

Does the Swiss Round count for anything?
I scored 18 prediction points in the Elimination round, and 13 in the Swiss round.

Welcome to five months ago. You're not the first one who thinks that, you know.
I don't see why anyone would be complaining about free RP. Even if you aren't an active PvPer, it doesn't hurt to get a couple of pieces of nonstandard armor for whatever PvP char you roll.

Think I got 8 predictions points. I predicted Glyph of Chaos for 3rd place in 1v1, which they came, and I predicted Ekelon 1st. and they came 4th, so I think thats another few points.
Didn't get any of the Guild ones right :/

Well untill now, the RP didnt interest me very much, so I always figured the unlocks were keepers.
Apparently, RP are just a lame copy of Balthazar Faction. The guy who invented them should be thrown in a cave with starving mice. The only use for them would be Golden Flames, since that reward is at least staying for all PvP characters.
I don't really complain about the 'free' getting part of it all. Just that RP rewards last very short with me, since I probably make 3-4 different characters in PvP in one day, if im in the PvP-mood.
And for some reason, ever since I attained full unlock, I've been turning in my Balthazar Points for Tournament Tokens. So now I have 98 TT and never play Tournaments... its all so useless.

On the guildwars.com site at
http://guildwars.com/competitive/xun...es.php?lang=en
It tells you that you may collect your prize around 30 days after the event finishes, on the 1st of October, for 30 days.

The award system needs no change, "unlocking" s skin would be very unfair imo.

Heh im not sure you understood what i said, the tornament finished on the 1st of October, according to the site 30 days after that the NPC will appear, and you then have 30 days to claim your reward
he appears in the main port cites of Kamadan, Kaineng City and Lions Arch, as well as the Temple of Balthazar.
It also says that he can turn up any time up to the 30 day period after the end of the tournament, so he will be here by the 31st of October at the latest
