How about a Scavenger Hunt based on game lore? The first clue could be, for example:
"Travel to the home of the Eye of Janthir, and seek out (Staff Member name here) for the treasure you desire and a clue to your next objective."
Staff member would hang out in Divinity Coast (example) for a set amount of time (so they could attend the event as well) handing out some pre-determined collector item which would be turned in, along with the rest of the clue items for prizes-could have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize.
Admittedly, I am not great on game lore, so I would probably not be the best at creating the clues, but would definitely be willing to hang in a town and distribute the items. I also have a fair amount of booze & fireworks saved which I'd be willing to donate, and could farm some nice gold weapons as prizes. I'd also be willing to provide free runs (within reason:P) if needed to the event town once it's finalized.
Let me know if you could use the help

I will be using an adaptation of the Scavenger Hunt I used at the ARFMB, but with a few changes to help smooth it out and make it more fair. In addition, those who have collected items from all across Tyria will not have an advantage over those that haven't. In addition, rather then giving out a few select people HUGE prizes, I plan on giving smaller prizes to MORE PEOPLE. I thought this would make the event more fun for all, and wouldn't make some people sour that they tried so hard only to get nothing for their efforts. It is my hope that my events and the prize distribution works out better this time.

I agree with Jack and i can farm some collectable drops easily...(especially if there like charr carvings and such :P) and i would also be willing to stand in any outpost giving them out.
i may be able to think of some clues if i do ill post them on this thread.

If clues are needed, I would not recommend posting them on the forums ahead of time - message your idea's to Rahja.

Most certainly, Operative is my poster guy. SO far, his work has been great!

I can't find any more renders to use, so no more posters!
If you have a need for other artwork, please ask. Banners are a specialty. And if you plan on making an Oktoberfest Guild, just take a picture of the cape you plan on using and I can start working on modifying and making new posters. As well as other images using official colors you choose.
And I'm still interested in being on the ingame staff, just that I started college back up again this week and I want to be sure I have enough time to devote to classes before I make a commitment.

September 15th guys is coming up fast. On that date, I will be posting the official thread, updating the official wiki with new information (wiki will be your prime source for info regarding the event) and we can get this steam engine going. BTW! I decided on the final location, it is Gunnar's Hold in GW:EN.

Very nice!
I'm glad you're going ahead with the party. I was thinking with the lack of activity on both forums that it had been cancled for lack of intrest.
PM me if you need anything. If you want, I can photoshop a loverly invitation. And, of course, you can always add one of my characters names to your friends list and contact me ingame. I would definately like to be on the staff of this event if possible.

we could have the activitys around the camp fire in the center
but that would make it hard for the guy (if ur gonna do the simon says idea) to see who sais it first if someone says it from behind him.
but u could have more than 1 guy/girl there to look fo rthose people

Hey Guys, now that [LaZy] have taken over from Rajah in the running of the vent, we would like to officially thank EVERYONE in the help and support they gave Rajah before he handed it to us. That includes (but not exclusively to) the artists who provided work, and everyone giving donations or even just some kind words.

Major Costume Contest Update
The costume contest can happen whenever you want. That is because YOU will be taking screen shots of your character and sending them to [email protected] where they will be judged by our panel of judges. This is because the event will spread across districts and the judges will be gearing up for The event and not have time to judge during it.
As such Please Let Everyone Know that this is happening. And remember to get your entries in
