For the mostpart, I think the assassin armors look allright for what they are supposed to be. My only complaint is that male Zodiac armor is a little monotone in comparison with the others which are more black/(other color) and look better as a result. Though, I still wear the zodiac for the energy. Otherwise I can't pull off my full combo

I really liked the ritualist armor, and the assassin is cool too, but I mean.. we'll just have to wait and see when the expo arrives

I would love to have scarfs, more hairstyles, more themes for outfits. Hope this includes female assassins as well

I hope there's a female scarred assassin as well, though I'm guessing I'd be in the minority.

Okay, let's review a Factions fact here.

"The core classes get an additional half dozen sets of armor".

Even assuming that this only means one new suit of armor for each class, that's five sets a class if I remember correctly. Given that...why is everyone so gosh-darn POSITIVE that the three sets the Assassin have are IT? Not only has it been mentioned that we'll get 15K and FoW armors, but that leaves two more suits of armor for Assassins that haven't been revealed in the least. SO stop worrying! And as for blades and tight suits being out of place...you make my female Assassin give up her Infiltrator's gloves and boots and I'll put my butterfly knife right up your behind :-P.

And on the recent note, I am in total agreement that Assassins need a much wider variety of hair styles, hair colors, and faces. I ran the Kakashi look on my males because it was pretty much the only option that wasn't completely meh, and females weren't much better. You either ran short, spiked hair with headband or short spiked hair without headband. Blah.

Send the Assassins to the Barber Shop! XP

Heh, The hairs need more style, they need to be, say less realistic. Assassins should be mysterious but have their own sense of bizzare style. Thats why anime artists draw the hair the way they do, it gives people distinct looks.

And besides that, I know there aren't just 3 armors, I'm not complaining about that. I'm complaining about how bad those three armors look, The style should be ditched and completely replaced (Rant rant rant). Well not entirely they put a lot of work into those models, I suggest just changing the textures a little for the current ones, tweeking them to look less futuristic and more feudal. Maybe a long coat or something to add bulk would be nice too, like the 15k Druid armor.

Woop, lightning just struck my head. A brilliant way to reduce the "skin tight" look, is to simply puff out the pants when they enter the boots.

I'm all for keeping the 3 current assassin armors as is (for the people who love them), as long as we get more "traditional" (ninja) armor as one of the options... I also agree with a petition of having more available head types/hair styles, maybe other variations of the "naruto-headband" option...

Pics from Iga Ueno website: (link: http://www.k3.dion.ne.jp/~ashura/ ) Feel free to look around for some ideas...

With that said....

Come on guys. Do you really want to be walking around in mottled, detail-less pajamas? Because that's what classic real-world ninjas wore on the job. Let me tell you, after putting four hundred hours into playing with that char, you're going to be begging for even a single shuriken to relieve the bedtime flavor :-P

I do wish they'd given the Assassin a different headgear piece, though...would really have liked a reed-hat thing instead of a particle mask with funky designs >_>. And I reiterate: you take away my Infiltrator's gloves and boots and I'm finding a new sheath for my butterfly knives.

Face it guys. People want flashy, stylistic, and outrageous more than they want historically accurate. Unless you play Koei games >_<

Yes I do. I'd rather run around in w/ cool baggy ninja pajamas then strut around in Dominatrix armor (It might look ok on females, but it looks hella ghey on males... I mean c'mon? who wants to see a male belly button? Infiltrator's vest looks like a male bra...) But hey, if you like that look, then go for it. You don't have to wear the "mottled" ninja pajamas if you don't want to, we just want that option so we don't have to be forced to wear something we think looks nasty.

Frankly I find the whole "ninja thing" silly. They are assassins, not ninjas. If they were ninjas the profession title would be.... Ninja. And don't give me that crap about Ninjas being assassins because that was not there only function. If anything they were special op soldiers.

Hmmmm I wonder what female assassin FoW armor would look like?

Didnt you already say that? If not, someone already said something a hell of a lot like it.
So, i'll say something like what i've already said; quit being a dumass!

Have you guys not seen the armor we have on Necromancers? This armor fits in with the game more than a "typical ninja" garb would. And its very, very late for a petition to be started to change how an armor set looks. They are much busier with other things than to worry about pleasing people who want to be ninjas.

I don't think they should get rid of the ones they already have, i'm just worried that the rest will look the same way, since 2/3 are covered in giant blades, and all 3 look alteast a little crappy (please, no more body-suits! 3 is enouph ).

Other than the cool skills the Assassin has I did not like its model for either the male of the female.
Female is just too skinny, and maybe thats why I never paid attention to the armor.

On the other hand, everything about the Ritualists down to their armor and animations are great.

LOL so an assassin should ONLY look like someone who goes to an S&M convention??? Give me a break. So in your opinion, if there were knights the profession should be KNIGHT, and not something vague like WARRIOR? Maybe they should add a GLADIATOR profession as well? You're not getting our point. We DID NOT SAY that assassins are ONLY NINJAS. We simply said that ninjas are assassins as well. We did not say that they were ONLY assassins. Are Warriors ONLY knights??? Can't a warrior be a Gladiator or Barbarian as well??? We'r petitioning to ADD a ninja theme armor, similar to how Warriors get the Gladiator, Knight, or Barbarian theme... Besides. take a look at the assassin's SKILL LIST. Most of the skills in Shadow Arts can be associated with ninja...

IMO, I find the whole butt hugger S&M assassin suits silly.... They are ASSASSINS, not p0rno stars....

Totally correct.. Assassin is a generic term just like warrior.
Warriors = Knights, Gladiators, Barbarians, Soldiers... A number of things...

So what we're saying is, there should be more options for the assassin as well.
Assassins = Thieves, Ninjas, Mercenary, Rogue... Etc etc...

No, I don't think a Assassin should only wear one type of armor/have one type of look(in fact I would LOVE a wide variety of types....don't know where the idea of me wanting only S&M stuff came from) but I do find everyones fascination with turning GW Assassins into ninjas from movies, anime, other games & even real life a bit to unoriginal & even stereotypical.

Can't we have a wide variety of Assassin armors/looks without replaying the same old same old ninja theme? C'mon now.

Haha, maybe I think that people fighting eachother in a medevil type setting is sterotypical.

Also, it's kindof ironic, but any class in the game could be considered a "warrior", thats as generic as it gets, lol.

We have seen the following armor sets:
- Zodiac (+ EN)
- Saboteur (forgot)
- Infiltrator (forgot as well)

We are missing:
- Regular base armor
- another armor with a special addition
- Collector's armor
- 15k versions of those 4
- FoW version
- Maybe they get 6 new armors as well, only available in Tyria (Chapter 1 land so to speak)
- Possible 15k versions of those 6 new armors as well

So that's 7 or maybe even 19 armors we still haven't seen. Though I doubt they'll get 6 more armors as well, since they get "only" 75 skills (or more if ANet was holding back during the Event).

So even if there's no ninja suit yet between the 6 armors we haven't seen, we can always keep nagging until we get 6 added armors which look like a ninja's pyjama because of "balance issues"
After all, the other classes would have more choice between their armors which might seem unfair...

I'll sign for ninja pyjamas though, as long as there are some things noticable (belt with a few sheathed knife,...).
