Spirits are the major offence/defence of the Rit and now, Displacement, Earthbind, Shelter, Union, Agony, and Wanderlust (elite) are barley if useless at all. This amount to half or more if the of the offence/defence rituals being nerfed, it is a huge hit to Rits.
Then add injury to insult they made them so the already overpowered Eles can burn the ones still viable down in seconds which affects all the Rit rituals spirits across the board.

OMFG. Chilblains has been murdered, Aggressive Refrain butchered...
A.net, go to hell. With every patch you do more harm than good. You clearly don't have the foggiest idea about how to balance skills and classes, because you constantly engage in knee-jerk nerfs like this. It would be one thing if there were a minor adjustment in the skill - say, simply increasing the cast time, and requiring 13 or more in Curses to get a second enchantment strip. Guild Wars' PvE and PvP balance is apparently a game of Jenga to you, you destroy a skill/gimp a build and then add a NEW broken skill or class onto the top of the stack. How long can you play this game before the stack simply falls over? How long before you have utterly destroyed balance in PvE and PvP and alienated your playerbase?
/uninstall
/cancel any plans for World of GWCraft 2 purchase/play
It's one thing to not get it quite right the first time. It's another thing entirely to repeatedly skull-f*** your own game with imbalanced classes and skills, knee-jerk "rebalances", and a general inability to realize that PvE and PvP balances should NOT be joined at the hip, as they are completely alien to each other.

I don't really see how a nerf to aggressive refrain has "killed" the paragon. Their high damage output, and crazy synergy means that I will still keep them in my party bar. GFTE is still crazy... "Oh noes, a free 5 energy, and giving everyone in my party another 50/60% chance to critical, and it's restricted to every 4 seconds? " They're still the best passive defense in the game, and the only thing I can see the nerf doing is slowing their DPS down a little. But all imo of course, I might stick with Hayda and General Morghan, and you guys can keep your SF eles. :P

So far those whom I've shared the updates with [for once I was the first with the news yay me!] have all loved them.
I think the biggest cheers were for the ele and the mesmer skill stuffages
and for me?
Hard Mode for EotN (though I'm afraid to try it once I beat it.. I'm really frail)

This needs to be stated again:
That which is broken in PvP is just as broken in PvE. You just dont notice in PvE because monsters dont have accounts to complain.

Paras really got shafted this update, but the buffs to the Mesmers really make them a premier class in EN. Sweet! Mesmers Rule!

Your statement illustrates your one-dimensional mindset. It shows that you believe spirit spamming is the only way to play a Rit, and that is totally not true. Believe it or not, there are spirits whose health doesn't affect their usefulness. And there are good Rit builds out there that don't require spirits at all. And I guess if the overpowered elementalists can burn your spirit nest so easily, then you don't feel that strategic positioning or kiting is important either. You've basically said that you feel you should be entitled to sit in one spot and passively dump out spirits and do nothing else since the spirits do all the work, and be successful in doing so.

Well, I know it's not best to post when in an "emotional" state (nor after a few beers), but I'm doing it anyway. I just got Nightfall about 2-3 weeks ago and just in the last few days got Aggressive Refrain and Go For The Eyes and was having a lot of fun with that along with Watch Yourself. Now I read the updates and all I can say is:
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just start getting my Paragon rolling and having fun with it and it gets the GOPINKPURPLEBLUEREDPIECEOFCRAPENGINE nerfbat. What a bunch of crap. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm done now.
Maybe it won't be so bad after getting used to it, but it just made me a little angry that I just made my Paragon to only have it take a hit right when I really start liking it. I haven't been this upset with GW since the Soul Reaping nerf, but that turned out to be not so bad so hopefully this Paragon change won't be either.

Get used to it, no skill balance is a skill balance unless they nerf the Paragon. I don't think they have made it through a single skill balance without a nerf in the years time they have been around.

Honestly? I'm not on the team that creates, balances, or updates skills. I do talk to those involved with the skills; I do relay your concerns; I do make an occasional suggestion, which of course those wiser and more experienced are free to adopt or ignore, as they see fit. I think that skill design and balance is one of the most difficult tasks involved in game design. I have enormous respect for those involved with it. But that doesn't mean that I agree with every decision, and just like any other player, I can't help but have an intense reaction to some of the changes. In the end, though, I trust that the pendulum will swing to the center, without a tilt to any one profession. (I feel, right now, the Para has been hit a little hard, but I've not tested the changes and I don't want to overreact. I do think that Charm and Comfort should be one and the same, though, and I'll argue that until the cows come home. )

I agree with this one, no doubt so many others do as well, that's why i'm not such a beast master anymore, is because it just takes up that skill slot

I agree, Charm and comfort should be rolled into one. It's very annoying to bring Aslan (My ranger's Lion) along and be forced to use six skills, while those two remain useless.

I wouldn't be so upset over the spirit change if Ritualists weren't tethered to them so strongly - that is, if there were viable options for playing a Ritualist without them. I can understand the nerfing of passive skills, but how about giving us alternatives? Or better yet, reworking these skills so that they become active, at least more so than before? A straight nerf is the laziest solution I can possibly imagine.
People complain about Paragons night and day, but they still work really well. What the heck are Ritualists expected to do without spirits? This is worse than the exhaustion, for crying out loud!
