I spend a nice amount of time before gw:en getting some cash for the new armors,

now i somewhat plan on buying the last armors i like, but i fear theyre horrible once you get them (Just like my other armors i bought already, dye system on eotn armors is so irritating).

otherwise i might just spend it on lockpicks, minipets and perhaps with a very small chance on weapons (I normally only use the weapons that drop for me, and farm for those i want.)

but i dare say i have reached a point where i don't want to spend my money, simply because what i can get for it doesn't seem worth it o.O

Goodness sakes! Another doomsday thread.

1. ANet would rather sell two games than one, think about that.

2. GW2 will be sufficiently different that many players will stay active in GW as well.

All this is a very long time off anyways.

I wonder how many people will attempt to coat an entire explorable area with 1gp coins for a screenshot. I wonder how many and how much time it would require for something of that magnitude.

I may even do it, eventually.

I will probably buy every destroyer wep and as many minis as i can and put them in the HoM. Then buy all my guys FoW

All my weapons are customised to characters and I have very little stored gold, because I spend it (gasp! I spend it!). I may shed a tear when my ranger goes boom, but meh. It's just a game.

I plan on filling out the Destroyer Weapon Rack in my Elementalist's HoM before GW2 - that should give me something to use most of the cash I make on! Maybe I'll also get another armor set or three to put up in HoM beside my FoW (with Destroyer Gauntlets),- oh I still need to get the Chaos Gloves and maybe I could ....
Not really sure I'm gonna have anything much in storage be the time GWII comes along

Trader everything, and spend it on armor sets and miniatures, destroyer weapons, etc.

Me and my friends dropped 800k all together ( 100k each ) on the same spot. We then all picked it up and left xD

It took about 30-40 mins to do it all

I have 21 ecto in storage.
20 came from selling a Mursaat Hornbow that I just happened to have.
1 came from echo-trapping in the Underworld while trying to get Black Widows.

That isn't likely to change any time soon.
My total cash on hand at the moment is around 500k ... and that is only because I have been accumulating cash lately as best I could (and doing many dungeons).

What am I gonna do with it?
Exactly the same as I'm doing now: accumulating more.... so I can kit out more of my characters and make them pretty.
The entire Hyun family will have 15k armour by the end of my escapades, and several of them will have multiple sets (my Necro already has two {Luxon and Bonelace}, despite my Assassin only having one and being my main).

The servers will continue to run even when GW2 is out... so... why waste it?
I however did go through recently and sell ALL my materials and useless crap, keeping only the good old thing, irreplaceable. (wintergreen and peppermint weapons, random funny things)

I sell the few still precious golds and greens and invest in THE FUTURE:

Destroyer Weapons (though some are butt ugly)
15K armors only (I like most ranger 1.5ks better, but they do not go to HoM, so...)
Rare Minipets
Hero Armors
Money for various titles

All fancy gear and stuff gets sold for this. I have nothing else to do anymore in GW, I can prepare for the future. Would be nasty if GW2 turns out to be like a "we learnt from our mistakes to make even more and worse" game, and after the shallow aftertaste that GW:EN left in my mouth, I feel ANet is going into the wrong direction.

Destroyer items are the future? since when? shit skins which fall in price by the day..

Invest in items which will never be replicated in the next game eg "Tyrian" req7's, no negs etc

Rare Mini's are a bit meh...with Anet the way they are, more will be made available.

Just wanted to point out that the OP didn't say anything about GW shutting down at GW2 launch. When it's near-death could be anytime, from before GW2 release to 3 years after.

Anyway, I'll be stashing all my ecto and golds in my speedos to show off at the beach. And when the sun shines on me just right...
