I hate how people don't know how to cap. This isn't PVE or RA, it's AB/HB-style costume brawl. And yea, the builds... <<

I'd say its more like RA/HB. Same objectives as HB (10 min time limit, first to 20 wins), and you get a random party just like RA (except there are more PvErs, so the teams are generally worse).

The original loading time was horrid at first, but I sort of expected that with so many piling in at once.
Otherwise, just for the change of pace in light of a festival, it's all in good fun. I had a good time, groups I was paired with, we all had some good laughs and good battles. Will play it again tomorrow for sure.

Oh, the reward should be increased to 2-3 bags, at least. Or make it 10 points to win.
And the 2 new arenas are great, those are just great.

It's fun but get can old quickly in my opinion. Managed to get a 5 streak win before we met out match ^^ Rewards, could be better to be honest. Seeing as I've only played on the Mhenlo Disguise, the build isn't bad if you know how to use it and such but well I don't wnana get flmaed cos I found the build to be ok >.>

i do like it, ill play more. just some aggrivating things about it..
leechers, why join if you dont want to play? your team most likely wont win with one man afk.
elementalists kicking my ass. whatever i bring against them. they got searing flames too? cmon.
dumb players, was in a heavy fight (rit vs ranger) and theres this other ranger on my team standing there looking at me.
whats the benefit of capturing the flag things? just concentrate on getting 20 kills.
its pvp. nuff said, the heavy pvp players will come in and run shit. the people who dont or rarely pvp. will not.
last but not least, a team with 2 monks vs. a team with no monks FTW.
these are my thoughts so far. like i said ill play more, its something different. and being razah or the male mesmer guy = cool.

Possible to sync in this too? I was in international district and saw 3 members of the same guild.
It's fun for a few then gets boring. Huge annoyance I found was the skillbar re-arranging itself to its default. I set it up in an order I'm used to and kept having to set it up again during the wait to start. Also, people take forever to load. I was the only one that loaded in my first game, second guy came in nearly 1 minute in.

It lacks so many things that it makes me wonder if this was all just thrown together Thursday night.
The builds are mostly silly. Most of them lack synergy or power. The games are based mostly on kills, and since none of the builds have any decent healing, deaths are much too common.
Another problem is that they decide to only give up to 12 attributes. That just makes it terrible for some professions, since they get much more powerful with those last 4 points.
And finally, the teams. I somehow managed to continuously find the people with the slowest computers in Guild Wars. I never saw any more than 1 other person move withing the first 20 seconds every time I joined. Sometimes, none of my teammates would move until a good 30 seconds into the match.
So really, it just seems lame. The Hero battles style is a bad move, the builds are horrid, and the people playing seem to all be dial up users.

Who cares if the skill bars aren't maxed out? It's a festival game - nothing that matters.
I think the time limit is too long though. It gets boring, especially since a lot of matches are pretty much decided in about 2 minutes.

Got the feeling we will be seeing Ele only parties soon, just because of the build and Cynn's underwear. -.-

It's the worst game mode ever because everyone sucks a lot at it. Snowball fighting wasn't this bad.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact it just came out.

The builds are not horrid, they're BALANCED, except for the monk, which doesn't seem to be good at anything. From now on I'll forget the monk unless specified.
Every profession has a build that has about half the skillbar full of mainstream powerful skills, but along with that there's a little touch added. We have selfheals, either conditional or weak condition removal, powerful conditions that you want to remove, weak but long-lasting and difficult-to-remove hexes, skills that heal others while being fairly weak so you can't just think you're a monk etc. If ANET hadn't made the little rock-paper-scissors ring specifically for brawl, it'd be a lot more boring with a lot of damage, a lot of healing and no tactics.
There are power differences though, and I'd rank the professions like this:
Tier 1: Ritualist, Ranger, Warrior, Elementalist, each of them have an use in every match and are good both defensively and offensively.
Tier 2: Paragon, Assassin, Mesmer, these are powerful but a bit behind tier 1, and require more skill to be effective with. They also depend on luck a bit more than tier 1, and are hurt by idiots in your team.
Tier 3: Dervish, Necromancer, these are ok but start to have noticeable flaws, like the Dervish not having enough energy and the Necro having only average skills and nothing to really kill or debuff with.
------
The 3 tiers are fairly balanced even though there are power differences, but our friend monk is HORRIBLE. It tries to do everything, but has chosen the worst skills for everything. The only good skill in the bar is SoJ, and with 20 recharge it isn't going to do anything alone. I'd seriously like to know why healing breeze and divine intervention, and not simply smiter's boon and reversal of damage/judge's intervention, which would give the build some synergy while enhancing both the healing and damaging abilities of the build.

actually, with a little bit of tweaking, this can help refresh pvp, think about it: if anet were to change the skill setup for each profession once a month and hold tourneys for the format, it would be at least better than hb. (cuz yeah limited is one decent format no matter the game)
