After playing for over 2,000 hours over the last 13 months or so, it should be obvious to most people that I love this game.
There are a few things about the game that I dislike or don't agree with totally, but these are very few compared to the huge number of things that I do like about this game and the effort that ANet has put into making an enjoyable playing experience. It's never possible to please everybody, and I think Anet has done a great job with GW so far; and I have no doubt that they'll be able to keep it up while we wait for GW2

You make it sound like there overhead incidental and minimal. Go to the Arena net web site and see how big their staff is. Oh yeah, the servers are hand me downs too... Old Dell laptops linked together with wifi cards.
TBH... I bet they have a lot less money than you think, and I would like to see you do a better job.

and you ppl are taking those numbers that i put down as exact?????!
please, just trying to make the point, that they have made plenty of money and excuses like "all our resources are on gw 2" are bull. if it takes all of that long list of employees that you were talking about to make a game that comes out in 2 years..... but they can make a great game like prophecies with a much smaller employee base and budget.... maybe they should find some new employees, or managers.

This spell causes exhaustion and is easily interruptible (by a troll). You attempt to expose a troll, which gives it a glowing pink aura for 10...30...60 minutes (Attrib: GWG reputation), or reinforces the one that the troll already has. When fully exposed, a troll will self-destruct automatically, displaying a fireworks.

LOL...Can I fill my bar with this please?
Great Job Anet!!! Over 2 years of entertainment, looking forward to seeing what may come.

Sigh... seems my post got deleted. I'll rephrase it less harshly.
I generally don't "thank" corporations. I can drink coca-cola all I want. I can enjoy their product. But they are getting something out of it.
I'm glad GW exists. I enjoy the game. But... I'm sure Galie is happy she has a job too.

Excellet Game!
I planned to play this wonderful game until I am 80 years old (don't wanna say die :P) but thats the general idea.
Have to go sleep now, just kill myself (character) from being impatient, or else i've gotten HM completed on rings of fire. and it seems there no more mapped that's not being explored there.
where can it be....

GJ Anet after 29 months playing GW you made me save lot of money. I only bought Oblivion that I uninstalled after one month (I spent hundreds of hours in Morrowind).
Tomorrow I gonna buy The Witcher...at last....a new game which appears to be a very good RPG, made by a small company from Poland.
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/thewi...mmary;previews
I feel a bit guilty about that, cause GW is THE game I prefer atm. But I will come back to help my Guild/Alliance & farm remnants for new armors for my heroes. My Gwen already got her flashy dress & nice jewelry...
Some posts were speaking about $ Anet was making.....Where is the problem? I hope they all soon drive Ferraris.....imagine Gaile in a Ferrari I am happy to give my money to them & I will buy GW².
I dont believe in god but I believe in Anet....weird ? no !!!!
I simply have the faith.
"...Pay close attention to complexity creep. Don’t assume that most of your players are reading your website and consuming information about your game. Most of your players will never read your website, never visit fansites, and never participate in forum discussions. We are often immersed in the community forums and rants and raves posted to game fansites, and it is easy to lose perspective about the knowledge level of most of our players. Players who participate in fansites and send six-page emails to your community team are experts at your game – they probably know more about it than you do – so it’s important to realize that they do not represent the average player. The vast majority of your players are not digging into every detail of every spell or creating lists of animations so that they can react when they see the basilisk twitch its nose. They want to play, not study, so take care to create a game that allows them to do so..."

Oh they're out there. Just read some of these posts again. What started out as a simple Thank You post turned into a Thank You but.......this sucks, change this, look how money you made, etc post.
At least for me this has been a great game. I've never played a game for hundreds of hours on end without having to pay a monthly fee for it. Thanks again Anet!

GW took about 4-5 years not the 2 for GW2.
as for budget please explain how they set up a world wide server network and programmed GW for close to 5 years before taking in a single sale.
i hope your real life work is not as sloppy as your post indicates.
here de facts one mo time kiddie

Thank you Anet for the memories... as they are becoming such. If GW2 has the potential of becoming just as ruined as GW1, then I will sadly take no part in it. All 3 of the campaigns along with expansion were a masterpiece, and the mechanics behind it and construct of everything is pure genius. I just don't get how the last couple of updates have been so carelessly overlooked! It's making the GW Community MISERABLE! It makes us feel like we've been robbed of our money's worth and being driven out by force! If it's a plot to remove the community from GW1 and channel them into GW2... the idea FAILS BADLY. I was kind of hoping that those updates were somehow an extremely early April Fool's Day... But I doubt it severely! I, along with the overwhelming majority of the community, do dream of the day in which these tormenting updates will be lifted and that PvP and PvE will finally be restored to its original nature. We need to regain what has become lost.
