EoTN easily.

SF was just couple quests and some bosses in a dungeon that had only two types of enemies.

It's sad how people vote for SF just because they bought EOTN without waiting for other people's opinions. You can't get a refund by crying about it on fansites. It was your own problem you didn't like it. It costed like 40€, it's not that bad and it was clearly cheaper for rest of you guys. I'm not sure about your economic situations but if 40€ was that bad, then why the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO did you buy the game?

Apples and oranges, but I voted EotN anyway.

Everyone voting SF is either obstinate and would rather die than admit anything in GW nowadays is actually decent, or is being blinded by nostalgia. SF was one large dungeon. GW:EN has 18 ranging from small to bigger than SF. Just based on that alone, GW:EN provides far more content and fun than SF.

The only reason SF was popular is because it was the first of its kind, but that doesn't make it eternally better than anything that comes after it.

I had no expectations of new armor and such from sf and was awarded with green items. I had expectations of nice armor and weapons from eye and was awarded with grind............

sf is my choice and yes it was free (and my first green items which many of my characters are STILL using!)

SF for me, it was a new experience as it had green items and elites you could cap there you couldn't get for awhile after. does eviscerate ring a bell? I liked it better than GW:EN, for if you were one of the classes that regularly did 5 man farms around there or did alkar farms, it was really fun. I personally don't think its fair to rate both of them against each other for SF was a free update and GW;EN was something you had to buy.

I played GW:EN and to me it was ok, prophecies was better, but thats off-topic, not trying to write a book here but, I just like the overall atmosphere of fighting stone summit and hearing the beastmasters die which sounds like a dying elephant.

Just because your expectations were exceeded for SF doesn't mean it was better... it means your expectations were low. GW:EN only has about 30x the content of SF... some of it you may not like, but usually there will be at least as much that is good.

And regarding a post on the last page - people who quit GW before EotN would generally not be reading this forum. I hope.

SF ftw.

Easier to get into, much more fun to play. Plus free!

Sorrows, just had a whole more 'epic' feeling, due to the fact that these amazing green items were new. Now they're just old trash.

I'm still playing GW:EN, still having fun and still have a few things to do.

I played SF once got bored with it and was annoyed at having to do moa quest in it.

voted GW:EN for longer fun eliment and larger play area.

though i don't think this is a fair comparison

If you included in your poll: "disregarding how much they each cost" I would have voted for EOtN.

But when you take into account how we were overcharged for EOtN, then I vote for SF since I think $40 was not justified.

SF all the way

All EotN did was introduce grind based skills to topple the balance between skill and time.

SF > GW:EN

Loved selling greens for 100s of K's, plus it was free and fun.

Apples and oranges... one was small and free, one was medium size and $35. I've always considered SF as prophecies content that was put in late, much as DoA was put in late for nightfall.

Why just sorrows furnace? What about all of the other stuff that was added to prophecies before factions came out?

Titan Quests
SF
Grenths footprint
New Tombs
Greens in The Falls
Rotscale

I vote prophecies, as most of gw:en (the dungeons) look exactly the same and are annoying.

Brrr, this comparison doesn't make any sense. GW:EN it is then, it's simply....bigger, and I don't feel as shafted as the rest of you people because I payed $20 for GW:EN, which is just about enough.
