I was once strictly a Luxon but had to change my ways when I discovered that some Elites weren't available in Luxon territory. So Kurzick is the way to go.

On the other hand, going Luxon means that you don't have to do Eternal Grove.

My alliance is luxon; I used to play for Kurzick's and, sad though it seems, I noticed alot of Kurzick player's think they are god. I mean sure, you get Luxon's with the exact same attitude, but IMO not as often. Although hey, I'm biased <3 Turtles and Pirates

The 2 sides are identical, and it makes no difference to your gameplay which you choose. I have R1 of the Kurzick title, and I hero-FFF for myself and alliance members when they need Kurzick Faction, especially if I randomly feel like playing Eternal Grove instead of Gyala Hatchery. But similarly, I like the Luxon side (although Kurzick Armour > Luxon). I have ABed myself to R2 of Luxon, and I genuinely enjoy the Luxon scenery (although the Luxon GHall is ugly as sin)

Just my 2 cents

I like the luxons cuz they are more free and open to the world, not confined like the kurzicks.

On the other hand I like the civilized kurzicks for their beliefs and well, there civilizedness xD

EDIT: Juggernauts r cool xDDD

neither. They both die by the Canthans so we really should not compare them.

Kurzicks are better by virtue of Kurzick faction being worth more gold, albeit the gold for both has turned into chump change for eons now. But still it is worth more, and therefore Kurzicks are better. Plus there is way more Kurzick players, so Kurzicks are also better in the regard that Kurzicks alliances are likely to be bigger and have more players with which to play.

Also, Kurz titles are way easier to get and boost due to the Lux FFF being nerfed shortly after Factions came out, and Kurz FFF never got nerfed.

Luxons are disadvantaged and inferior in these areas.

Not true, the luxons HATE the Dragon empire while the kurzicks trie to help them in their time of need.

I could care less what faction I am "allied" with, the only reason I'm kurzick is because the guild I'm in is Kurzick. As far as I'm concerned I would like to create my own faction and destroy the kurzicks and luxons making them my slaves and take over the canthan empire creating monopoly on the jade and amber exports and whatever else I feel like making alot of gold over

I actually have more luxon armor than kurzick armor. I got 15k kurzick for my rit, and 15k luxon for my warrior and 1.5k luxon for my ranger.

After I got my 15k lux armor for my warrior I went and ABd on the kurzick side, I was accused of being a spy by kurzicks and accused of being a traitor by luxons It was very amusing and gave me a good laugh.

actually if you read the lore for Guild Wars 2, the kurzicks and the luxons are defeated and are put into the new canthan empire. So thats why I said they aren't either really great.

It doesn't matter in the least bit.

Look at the armor sets for both, on all classes. Pick which one you like better, and go with that.

No difference between those 2. But if you want to talk about community-wise, you best avoid being a luxon since those playing as kurzick love to throw insults at you regardless winning or losing.

Suxons anyone?

I really enjoyed getting the Kurzick Warrior elite armor. I prefer the Luxon wide-open spaces in instanced areas.

Both are balanced. It's a matter of choice...

People actually care if you do Luxon AB in Kurzick armor or vica versa? Sheesh.

depends on what side of the map you like more and which armor you think looks better. Those are the only differences and those are based on purely opinion.

i like the kurzick faction more, i like the general style of their towns better than the luxon ones.
And the jade sea gets very annoying to look at after a while, much more so than the forest (at least for me)
But since you can play wherever/whatever you want there really is no difference between them.

taking them seriously means you fail at gw

I chose Kurzick because I prefer their armor and because I have already donated quite a lot of faction...

Is anyone really Luxon or Kurzick?

We just go and help them, then move on to destroy Shiro.

I've always liked Luxons because they seem to have more FUN. Just take a look at the end of the game and you'll see Luxon kids running around in the Divine Path, but no Kurzick kids.... hmmmm.. makes you wonder, huh? Also, kurzicks seem so gloomy and EMO like, thanks but no thanks, I'd rather grab a beer and get down on some Luxon after-killing-The Kraken PARTYYYYY!!! YEEEHAAAAAA
