To sum it up, with so many new players in pvp (anet made it more enticing than before) they pretty much cant steamroll through everything and a lot of them grew bitter and are more rage prone.

Secondly, I equally dislike those that casually play the game and assume people that worked on their goals for so long (a lot of people have 2+ years time spent on their account) should feel the same, that its only a game and it should all be candyland and cakes.

Anyone that worked hard on something will feel threatened and angry if trivial or underestimated factors contributes to their loss. This is frequently casual players that join the group, refuse to be competitive and play in a nonchalant way.

Face it, pvp, mmo and physical sports are pretty much alike. If you refuse to be a team player and endure rigorous practice to be competitive, don't burden a group of people that want to win hard because your stubborn and selfish ideals tell you that its only a game and you should have fun even at the expense of others.
I just read through all the comments, I like yours most

I always say "don't let your fun become a burden on others" whenever I encounter a situation where one person is continuously harassing others.

What Drakken Breaths fire has said, I agree with. Strange yes from our previous encounter however what he said is true. People you meet on the internet have a extremely low impact on people unless people meet in real life.

According to Undeadgun, this person didn't give CRITICISM...he/she gave INSULTS. There is a difference, and you should look up both words in the dictionary.

CRITICISM (Constructive criticism anyway) involves telling someone what they did wrong and what to do to fix it. This person didn't do that. He/She INSULTED his friend, which served no help or sense of purpose to the team. Instead of pointing the finger, he/she could have at least made an effort to help out more. If this person is looking out for his/her own interests, he/she should go do PVE instead of PVP.

Know what you are talking about before you come on this forum saying stupid shit like that.

Instead of whining they could actually teach people about HA.
Well, that's what they're doing when they tell you to run certain builds. If you want to learn, first thing you need to do is let go of your builds and run what they want you to run. And, if you can't spike targets, you need to work on listening and pressing "1" on "Spike!"

As for the OP: amazing that your friend got to r10 without ever running into a jerk...honestly, you need to be able to handle a little flak if you play any game, anywhere, PvE or PvP. The screaming and b****ing is just as bad if you screw up an elite mission run as screwing up an HA or GvG battle.

Yes the PvP side of this game is taken way too serious. It's really funny. Someone ranks you, OH NOEZ!!! Just means they really have no life. Oh look I have a phoenix! Ok...

It's just a game, and those retards that caused your friend to quit really aren't her friends just people she knew.

....

But seriously, next time, if you or your friend receive insults, just tell them to GTFO, and move on. Quitting won't solve anything.

But singling out a single group into that context of saying that the internet is full of idiots? And then saying its the A-hole of the internet. Right.....

Sadly, today she got stunded by her own friend, blaming, f words, all over the vent... she then decited to quit this game, she asked me just one question: why undead? why people in HA changed? why they have to be so mean to me? i dont know what should i answear her....
This was the story, very sad, but it is true. and from my personal experince, i have noticed this /rage, blaming, very inmature languages around HA lately as well. i mean, why do some people have to be a total jerk in this game? it is just a freaken game.... you dont have to yell at people in vent to release your angry, find a wall and knock your head on it already. i miss old days really, no blame no rage, people play togather happily, if lost, sure, lets go again. where have those days go? HA has been illness for awhile now, low rank or no rank people never get a group, if they ever do get a group, either running zergway or sway crap like that. how do they improve their game play skills by playing those lame builds over and over? sigh..... nothing i can really do, i rant too much today, i am sorry if this post hurt some of you, but i really do want to tell some truth of the current stats in HA
Dude, that's just sad.. it's hard to believe how communites in video games can change over time, isn't it? All the good games end up being bad and getting flooded by mean people. I can't believe a "friend" would do that to someone else..that's just pitiful of them and it's sad.

Haha. Gotta agree with this one. I find it hard to believe anyone who's gotten to r10 could have done so without being exposed to the sheer amount of vitriol found in PvP.

Especially when that monk wants to play whatever his secondary is instead and forgets that he is a monk first and the other monk gets pissed because he realizes he now has to heal/protect 8 people alone in HA.

At the OP:
1. Rank 10 doesn't mean anything anymore about skill. Yes there are some very good players who are rank 10 and there are some people who just farmed it. Likewise if your friend was new to monking, rank has lesser value.
2. Your "friend" should choose better friends from now on. If that person is a jerk, don't play with him anymore.
3. This isn't really a new thing and being a monk you really have to expect taking the blame sometime even when it isn't your fault. If the person isn't used to that, I'm guessing she is newish to monking or hasn't played it enough in PvP.
4. The person yelling was probably at fault as well.
5. If your friend likes PvP but can't handle a rager when she plays monk, maybe she shouldn't play monk.

Anyways, HA has been dead for a long time, it's just allowed to linger on because Anet doesn't have the time to fix it.

Why should her being a girl matter? A jackass will be a jackass to anyone they can be a jackass to. Don't make this a gender thing.

Best way for a monk to deal with a jackass like that is to let them die and then corpse /rank them. I've done this and its a lot of fun

What a pity that your friend had to have that experience, people who rage over games like that must have issues. I just wanted to add on the flipside that it's not all like that, I've met some wonderful high ranked people lately :P Who've been very kind to help my nub butt get into rank 6+ groups, and very patiently explained to me what's been going on, and what I'm expected to do. No raging, no insults, just patience, and calm.... <3 ya undead !!
