Master of whispers. "There is 475483 ways to kill enemy, this is 61543." Or something like that. I always laugh when he says it.

OOOH, I so forgot. Veal is absolutely awesome. It's great to have an NPC you hardly know anything about, and he does very clever stuff with Grawl Pheromones.
what a guy

Him and Pyre are actually quite similar, although I'm sure he'd hate to hear it. They're both focused leaders with a utopian vision of the future for their people and he knows how to act as a symbol for hope and victory in tough times.
|
Actually I suspect that if Pyrre and Rurik sat down together around a negotiation table, they'd be the only two people who could make peace between the Charr and the Humans.
In missions he's a total wammo, but his cutscenes and quest dialogue show he knows how to see a changing enemy as a potential ally. Never forget that Ascalon and Kryta were locked in war for ages before the searing, and Rurik was the Ascalonian who saw the value of peace.
So far... I like Gwen and Master of Whispers.
Gwen because she is so flawed. I like heroes who have more flaws than those they oppose - and that girl is just troubled.
Master of Whispers because he works to some deeper ideal - he's simply beyond the issues of the day. Whatever is truly driving him just makes him more interesting. Of course I haven't finished Nightfall, and maybe once I do this will change.

Does no-one care about... Horace?
He's my true hero. Staying alive between a quadrillion charr with "Where's my pudding" as a punchline. If that isn't a hero, I dunno what it is. A pudding maker perhaps.

Hilarious! Poor Varesh. I wonder if she just needed therapy?
I also liked General Bayel. Remember his conversation with the Hunger? All that stuff about "renegotiating" still gives me the weebies...

Brutus, the Blood Henchman, I think, in Factions. Rockin' the trained fungal wallow.
Old Mac, he of the trained Devourer, who we rescue early in Prophecies, is another. And then we gotta help him feed that darn thing outside Beacon's Perch. Too funny.

I like Pyre for most of the reasons you do. I thought Gwen was kind of an ass to him. My favorite hero though is Talkora. She's a better prot monk than some people i've been with. I also really like Shiro and Livia.
